Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring

I was very happy and satisfied with the work, it looks beautiful. There were a few communication problems, as I was told there would be 3-4 people working everyday, and the job would be completed in about 3 days. As it turned it, there was only 1 person working, and it took 5 days to complete. On 2 of the 5 days, there was 2 people working. In spite of the above, I am very satisfied with the job, and would recommend this company. I would use this company again, in the future.

MDS flooring was very professional and handled all my needs. I would recommend them to anyone. I am going to use them in the near future to do my kitchen. They have installed over 600sq ft of Bamboo Flooring and it came out beautiful. Thanks again MDS

Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring

Wow! My floors look fantastic!!!! Sanel and his team installed laminate floors throughout 3/4 of our home and did a terrific job. MDS Floors was very reasonably priced and extremely skilled in craftsmanship. Our floors look very professional. This family owned company provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond the call of duty. They even purchased, delivered and painted our new baseboards for us. They left our home very clean and were so pleasant to work with. We would definitely recommend this company to family and friends and will use them if we have projects in the future. Use this company and you will not be sorry!

Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring

MDS Floor Solutions installed wood laminate flooring in my master bedroom and living room area. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish! They were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional from our first meeting through the material selection and installation. They shopped for materials with me, picked everything up and delivered it to my home for installation. They worked with my schedule, were always friendly and were very patient with me as we went through the process. Their craftsmanship and installation of the floors and molding was excellent! I am so happy with the way my floors were installed and the way my rooms look now with the beautiful new laminate installed. Beautiful! I highly recommend MDS Flooring Solutions!

We were very satisfied with their performance of the job. They work very quickly, and cut cost where-ever they could. We are so satisfied that we are going to let them do all the rest of the rooms in our house. We would definitely refer them to anyone we knew who was having floor work done.

To say that MDS Floor Solutions was "very good" is truly an understatement. They were excellent in all categories. The care and concern they took with installing our laminate floor showed us they are the kind of craftsmen that treat the job as if they are doing it in their own home. They exude pride and professionalism! I highly recommend them!

We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us to investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the state in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Businesses will not be admitted to the network if their owners or principals have the following felonies in their available criminal records*:

Arson

Assault/domestic violence/battery

Child abuse

Intimidation/terrorist threats

Kidnapping/abduction

Lewd and lascivious behavior

Manslaughter/murder/homicide/vehicular homicide

Rape/incest

Robbery/carjacking

Sex offenses

Other felonies not listed above that occurred in the past seven years

Contracting without a license in the past seven years

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened biennially.

How is COVID-19 impacting the HomeAdvisor background check program?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several government agencies and courts across the country have temporarily closed their offices. While HomeAdvisor will continue its background check program to the extent possible, these closures could prevent some background checks from being performed. Please be advised that, during this period, if we could not perform a background check, HomeAdvisor will allow the business into the network and match the business to consumers. As affected government agencies and courts begin to re-open, we will resume our program in those jurisdictions. As always, we encourage consumers to perform their own research, to the extent possible, before hiring any business.

Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade. Please note that HomeAdvisor does not confirm local licensing. Do your own research using online ratings, reviews and through phone interviews before hiring a company.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
