LG Roofing Contractors

We had a long discussion on what we wanted for our basement redo, there was old framing, deteriorating paint and brick that needed removing and repairing. It was essentially clean and repair brick to paint ready condition. While the written contract outlined much of it, the details of what we wanted done was not in the written contract, our mistake. While the old framing was removed, a cracked wall was repaired and clean up was good, the work done to the concrete, window area and brick was not. The material used for repair flakes off, it can be rubbed off with a finger (!), we can't paint over the repaired areas because of it and we've been having to redo the repair ourselves. We're seniors in our 70's, we paid $6800 for work essentially we could've done ourselves. At inspection, we told them we were not happy with the work done, some solutions were offered but we don't want this company working in our home again we were so unhappy with their work. We emailed them with video to show how easily the material used comes off but their response was they did what the contract stated. They said they would send over their guys to fix it, we don't want them working in our home at this point. We feel we should have some refund coming to us.

I believe I paid too much because I did not take the time to get more bids. The work took one hour and cost $600. I take full responsibility.

I found LG from a competing services website. Once i entered my project details, I got a call back from LG within minutes. We discussed the project sight unseen (with a few pictures), and I received a fair bid (I had two other bids in hand). LG showed up three days later and completed my deck rebuild in one day. I had three other contractors basically ignore me, not show up, not return my calls. I'm returning to LG for any of my future house maintenance needs.
