Reviews
Write a ReviewKingdom is a great landscaping service. I recommend them!
Very nice, responsive company. Would recommend.
We got them to quote and a place from Noblesville. They were so affordable and did a wonderful job on putting sod and getting my yard in shape. They did a wonderful job and you won’t be disappointed in results. Ty Scott H
I am very disappointed with Kingdom Lawn Landscaping and the work performed. They do not seem to be customer focused at all. The project was the construction of a gravel camper pad. The existing uneven area needed resloping, with the area where the camper tires were to sit being particularly level. The rest was to be sloped to existing grade. Then 3-4 in of gravel was to be laid and compacted. We had a productive meeting where I explained, in detail, every feature of the job. I provided a computer drawn illustration with dimensions of exactly how the finished project was to be done. I wrote and provided an exact work description of every aspect of the job that was reviewed and agreed upon by both myself and Kingdom Lawn Landscaping. This work description was even copied verbatim into their contract. During the job, several changes were made by Kingdom Lawn Landscaping not-to-contract. I did not hold them to the contract because at the time I believed the changes were for the better. I now see my ignorance allowed Kingdom Lawn Landscaping to do a lesser quality job than originally agreed. I should have insisted in keeping to the contract. These changes involved both not doing work originally in contract, that no doubt was priced in, and included the supposed need for more gravel that resulted in an additional charge. After the project, I measured nearly 5 in of gravel in some areas - more than the 3-4 in discussed. So work quoted was not performed, and additional unnecessary material was added to the invoice. The work was completed and the area was not level where it was described as being critical to be level. I had little confidence that Kingdom Lawn Landscaping desired to do a proper job and just wanted to leave and call the job complete. Also, the gravel was so deep, the camper dug ruts in the gravel, making the area even more un-level. My weakness is I am a person who promptly pays his bills. Kingdom Lawn Landscaping requested payment, so I sent a check along with a detailed protest letter describing the work either changed or not performed, as well as calling out unnecessary extra gravel that resulted in an additional charge. In a test of Kingdom Lawn Landscaping ethics, I was sure I would receive a response something along the lines of- - Thank you for your payment Mr. Customer, but we cannot accept your payment at this time due to deficiencies in the contracted job. Let us get together and solve these issues so you will be a satisfied customer . They cashed the check the same day and I never heard anything from them whatsoever. I can only conclude Kingdom Lawn Landscaping believes not working to contract and charging for additional material is acceptable. I decided not to press the issue because I could tell Kingdom Lawn Landscaping was not interested in causing a proper outcome, and I did not want a contractor begrudgingly held to perform work they did not do in the first place. It has taken me nearly three months to correct the job deficiencies on my own. I moved the excessive unneeded gravel elsewhere, and poured a cement pads for the camper wheels to sit. The camper now sits level. The camper still causes ruts in the gravel, but since the cement landing zones handle the camper load, I can re-grade the gravel ruts with a rake. I now see gravel as laid by Kingdom Lawn Landscaping could never be sufficiently compacted by those small hand-held compactors. I relied on the expertise of Kingdom Lawn Landscaping, and they should have pointed out gravel will not stay firm under the camper load, but they were happy to do a job that was doomed from the beginning. So, I cannot recommend Kingdom Lawn Landscaping for complicated projects. A shame. Nice friendly people who talked a good talk, but in the end, were not interested in completing a well described job, per contract, to the satisfaction of the customer.
Mr. David. When you insisted on us doing the project after we had initially advised you that we did not want to do it because as you had stated before you had several contractors that had come out and either refused to do the project or never returned. Days before the project I even suggested to you via telephone that you find another contractor if you felt like no one would be able to meet your project as desired. I have emails where you clearly stated that you were aware of challenges with this project. You now waited almost 5 months to tell us. After we did walk through with you and you were also there while the project was being completed? I am sorry but this does not justify your bad review. You never once called to discuss your issues with the project. I am sure as you can read on all our other reviews that we have never been dishonest or have had issues with other customers. As much as you called me to come to the project, you could not pick up the phone to call to address your concerns with a project you designed and we followed your exact instructions.
This is a very professional company and I am so happy I chose them to landscape. My yard looks beautiful and the work they did was outstanding. I will definitely recommend this company to everyone I know. Thanks guys!
They were to only company I talked to that could help me with a vision of what our outdoor space could look like. Everyone else wanted me to be the expert on what I wanted. I"m not a landscaper so I don't know what is possible. They did a great job of casting a vision and executing on that.
Professional and fun husband and wife team! Prompt estimate and excellent communication. Respectful work crew! Will use again!
I was very satisfied
This company responded quickly to my request for service, provided excellent recommendations, gave me a fair quotes and completed the work as promised in a timely manner. They are excellent and I will use them again.
These folks did a terrific job for the second. year on a row. Highly recommended!
