Joy is wonderful to work with. I wanted to refresh my entire main and create flow from room to room. My challenge was I love many different design styles. Joy guided me through a process of identifying what my style truly is and how to bring it uniquely to each space. My family loves the end result. I learned so much about design from Joy because sheâ s happy to teach as she designs with you. . Joy worked within my budget and created spaces that are now our favorite places to be in our home.

Joy is a talented and thoughtful designer. Her work exceeded our expectations. Joy helped us with design plans for our basement and master bath remodel. While my wife and I had an idea about the elements/features we wanted in both basement and master bath spaces, we felt less certain about the optimal layout. We decided to seek design help to get illustrations of our plans and discover new ideas. We didn't know Joy before reaching out through Angi, but decided to go with her over other designers because she seemed genuinely interested in understanding our goals, was collected in her process for working together, and had a transparent pricing model. We chose Joy's DIY package, which results in a set of three design options, 3D illustrations, and color concepts, that can be used to share with a contractor and or seeking out contracting bids. She didn't require much from us in terms of time/inputs. We provided general measurements of the spaces, a couple of photos, and  links to styles we liked. She followed up by email with a couple of questions and then scheduled a time for us to meet to go over her initial designs and gives her a chance to see the space first hand. You pay up front, ahead of receiving an in person briefing of her proposal. She offers a fixed set of modifications to her designs post meeting within the upfront price. When it came time to deliver her product, Joy arrived at our home on time, had a presentation ready, along with examples of tiles, paint colors and flooring options for us to consider alongside her proposal. We were kind of blown away with Joy's attention to detail and invention. She presented layout options we had not considered, helped us understand ideal furniture sizing and spacing for our space, and creatively found a way to design around a couple of inconveniently situated support posts in our basement. Joy presented her ideas to us through a presentation on her laptop and printed out designs for us to have in hand as well. She delivered her briefing at a perfect pace and answered our questions directly, demonstrating deep proficiency in her craft. It comes through  that Joy genuinely enjoys decoration and design, and she's very good at it. We began the design process with Joy on 1/22/23 and received her designs on 2/3/23. We've concluded this experience with a sense of gratitude for finding Joy and appreciation for her help.  We now have a set of design plans that work and feel good about. We plan to seek her help for additional projects on the horizon, and offer our highest recommendation for her work.

Joy Edwards Design designed my living room/kitchen area in to a space that is not only functional but absolutely beautiful. I always get so many compliments! She was very professional and great at explaining each decision to better understand the reason behind a design choice. She is a great support throughout the whole design process.
