Reviews
Write a ReviewIngrid, Trevor and all the crew did a fantastic job turning our mess of a basement into a beautiful living area. We now love going into the basement. They were easy to work with and had great ideas. The work was beautifully done.
Thank you very much to and your wife. It was a pleasure working with your family. Thanks again.
Joshua's Commission Construction recently completed my basement, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The cost was reasonable and the work was impeccable. The team was professional, efficient, and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. They went above and beyond to ensure that the finished product met my expectations, and I was impressed with their attention to detail. I would definitely recommend this team to anyone looking for high-quality home renovation services. Thank you for making my basement into a beautiful and functional living space!
We got 3 of our bathrooms remodeled and completely redone. We invited bids and Joshua's Commission Construction LLC ended up winning the bid. They were not the lowest price. But what impressed us and went into their favor was the interest that Trevor and Ingrid had in our remodeling project and their willingness to engage with us in coming up with innovative options. They did a site visit, understood our needs , went back and sent us few options and then we had a series of video meetings to finalize. The work was done very professionally. There was a lot of attention for detail. They came in with an excellent team and all their team members worked hard. The timeliness was a challenge. But this was largely due to labor availability and supply chain delays since this was still during Covid times. Joshua's could have probably pre-empted some of these challenges in their planning, but to be fair to them - it was unprecedented Covid impacts that everybody was dealing with. Ingrid and Trevor are great. Very personable and easy to work with.
Thank you Makarand! It truly was a pleasure working with you and your family. We are glad to have you as a part of the JCC Family!
Joshua Commission Contractors did a bath tub to stand in shower project for us. They did an great job and are amazing to work with!. Very professional. Throughout the process, their team was responsive and proactive. They also worked with us to price out every change and accomodate our ask. We will hire them again for our next project.
When I first hired this contractor, I had high hopes. They talked a lot about customer service and seemed so friendly. I really thought I was in good hands. I first hired them for my kitchen renovation. They were very on top of permits, ordering, etc. I started to notice early on that there was a lack of communication about when workers would be in my house, what days and what times. There was very little in the way of scheduling. The kitchen took longer than expected but I didn’t mind too much because of the holidays and COVID outbreaks, so I had a lot of patience for that. When the kitchen was done, I did have to clean up myself. All of the cabinets were dirty with sawdust and such and the paint job was spotty so I had to redo a bit of trim. I remembered when I met Ingrid how she told me about a client she had who she surprised with an organized pantry and a “reveal” of sorts. I didn’t get that treatment at all. None of the above items were so bad, though. Little things here and there and so I hired them to reno my master bath. My mistake. This is where the two star review happens. I was told the bathroom would take a week, it took 4 weeks. Everything that could go wrong along the way, went wrong. Again, scheduling and knowing when workers would be here or not be here was a real problem. It was such an inconvenience not knowing when someone would be in my home or not. At about two weeks into the reno, I knew I would never hire them again because of inconvenience and scheduling alone. They are super unprofessional in this way. Then, they ordered items for the bathroom that were wrong (even after I had sent pictures). The tile grout color was incorrect and had to be redone, the toilet leaked upon installing and had to be redone, towel rack and toilet paper holder literally fell off the wall after 24 hours and had to be redone, the pedestal sink was installed with no caulk and had to be fixed, and the glass shower door has been a big problem. It was installed with no caulk around the bottom and flooded the floor with a regular shower. They came back to fix that. Then another piece of the door was installed incorrectly so that part had to be ordered and after many weeks, I still have not been scheduled to have that piece replaced. I have reached out several times, made myself available with dates that I will be home, and I have been completely forgotten about. They received final their payment so I’m certainly not a priority. It’s hard to find good people, and while their workers are very nice and friendly people, the management is so poor and disappointing. I would not recommend this company. Edit for clarification: no discount was ever received, no money was ever offered for the massive inconveniences, and the actual timeline of the shower door needing to be fixed was almost three months. This review prompted a quick response from the company. Too little too late. Don’t waste your money. Editing again: there was no 25% discount ever offered. The cost was 9k for a very small bathroom. The owner IS a horrible person for telling lies on this review. The lies continue. Proceed with caution.
Good afternoon Jennifer and thanks for the review. Again I am giving you my apologies in public like we did in private. You are correct, many things that could go wrong did go wrong on your project and we didn't know why until a few weeks ago, we realized we had an employee that was sabotaging the work. However, we have been actively fixing the issues as you brought it to our attention. We take full responsibility for the company that we contracted to fix the last issue you had and we were not aware that they did not come out to fix it. I sent you the text showing you we were waiting on the schedule for them to come out but that is our challenge. You are a valued customer, that's why we discounted the bathroom cost at a 25% discount than we normally charge and were always in communication with you. Your last text said you were away until 7/31 and was only available on weekend after that. We hope to rectify the issue ourselves if you will let us come out to fix the problem as we are waiting on the part still but may have to seek another supplier for the part. We understand that you are upset and though you may not hire us again, we will still fix this issue if you let us. We sent you a screenshot to show you we contacted the company with the part yesterday and we were awaiting a reply so we didn't forget you but parts are delayed and we were in communication with you. Please tell us at this point how we can rectify the situation to satisfy the current condition. We did let that employee go but the damage was already done so again we are very sorry and again let us know how to fix this situation. We also sent you a text and will email you in Houzz also. Again our apologies and we hope you will let us fix this as we promised you. We will learn from our mistakes and we take your complaint serious and hopefully, we do not have this issue in the future. We pride ourselves on giving our customers excellent service and great workmanship so we will continue to work hard to meet our customers expectations making their home remodeling dreams a reality! Edit Based On The Client's New Edition: We have offered the client to rectify this issue and have been met with messages attacking the owners' character and she is refusing the help saying "You are a horrible person and do not ever contact me again". We did notify her of the lack of communication due to one of the owners having major surgery on 5/19 and being out for 6 weeks. However, the office was responding to her. In reference to the discount, the price she paid at the beginning was a 25% discount compared to the standard price we charge. We automatically gave this discount due to her being a repeat customer. Instead of reaching out to us to fix these issues, the client has chosen to leave this review and then later message us calling the co-owner names. We wish you all the best Jennifer and are still willing to rectify the issue if you will allow us.
Excellent workmanship. On time every day. Completed ahead of schedule. I would recommend them highly.
We found Joshua’s Commission Construction through an Angie’s List lead and are so happy we matched!! We absolutely love Trevor, Ingrid and their entire team. We needed our kitchen renovated after purchasing our home last summer. Their prices and timeline we fair in an increasingly aggressive market. We were so happy with the work they were doing in our kitchen that halfway through that project we asked them to do our family room AND basement. It’s like we never wanted them to leave. We could not have been happier with our renovations and we STILL call them for smaller projects.
Thanks much Neah and Sean. It's a pleasure working with your family. We are absolutely thrilled to have you guys a part of the JCC family. Thanks again for choosing us.
A positive family business with an attention to details. Very timely feedback and receptive to suggestions.
Thanks much Mr and Mrs. Glover . Its was a pleasure working with your family. Thanks for being a part of JCCs family.
JCC staff are very professional and always on time. I have called them for many plumbing emergencies and they have been able to accommodate me with the urgency it required. Also importantly they went over the work they had done and also make recommendations for maintenance solutions so that I would avoid having issues in the future. Both Trevor and Ingrid are always polite and courteous. I definitely recommend them to other home owners.
I would hire Joshau again.
