I hired J and T Handyman services to install a new kitchen sink (to replace the existing one). I spoked with Jimmy and explained what we wanted to accomplish: we were asking them to remove the existing 2 bowl kitchen sink and replace it with a new single bowl sink we had purchased. We talked about wanting to reconnect the existing faucet and garbage disposals to the new sink. I said that there may need to be a little reconfiguration of the pipes below the sink since we would be going from two bowls to one. Jimmy said that would not be a problem and assured me that he would have the tool and extra parts; needed to make any adjustments. Jimmy and his associate arrived on time. They removed the old sink and replaced it with the new one. There were some issues encountered with the faucet and Jimmy told my husband that it was bad and need to be replaced. (That was not actually the case and his associate was able to make it work temporarily. We contacted the sink manufacturer who will be sending some parts, and we said that we would be installing that ourselves when they are received. But they left without hooking up the sink. The garbage disposal was reinstalled, but they failed to hook up the plumbing so that any water in the sink would drain into the p trap. They did not have the piping that we had talked about before hiring J and T that was needed to do the job. My husband was told that they could go and get the parts, but would be unable to return until the next day, as they had another job to get to . Really? The left with the water shut off and the sink/garbage disposal NOT tied into the plumbing, which was a main part of the job they were hired to do. At this point, my husband told them that he would just take care of it, as he did not want them coming back. Of course, they expected full payment even though they left our house with a sink that was not functional because they did not make the simple connection to the p trap with a connector that I was told they would have with them. Shameful. They did want to know if we wanted to have them do some other jobs (install a Junction box and ceiling fan, re-build a cabinet, etc.), but I would not trust them to do anything else (especially involving electricity) if they cannot handle a basic plumbing connection. I would not recommend this company to anyone in the future.
