J Style at Home

Janina made our newbie kitchen remodel easy and painless. She had great ideas and suggestions. I would do business with J Style for my next remodel project.

I am highly recommending JStyle At Home for anybody who needs good designer and a project manager for their Home Renovation needs. She takes full responsibility for the whole project and delivers the result. Her perfect designers taste combined with deep understanding of the homes style and with listening carefully to your own suggestions delivers a very good final result. Just do not forget that you need to be heavily involved in the whole project execution to receive exactly what you want.

We contracted with J-Style for 3 simultaneous projects during a broader re-model for our home: a 14' built-in custom desk/bookcase in our master bedroom, a built-in desk in a loft area, and electronics cabinetry in our family room below our TV. The materials, cabinetry, fit, and finish are superb. I really like the look, and the installers were quick, efficient, courteous, and professional. However, if you want something unusual, I recommend you find an alternate vendor. For the cabinetry around the TV, I had a number of unusual requests in order to provide for cooling of the equipment and filtering of the airflow. In addition, one of the cabinets was going to contain a cat-box, so I needed a door and flap built-in to the main door to the cabinet. These unusual requests proved too much for the team to accomplish even after numerous clarifications, adjustments to the drawings, and discussions with the installers. Overall, it seems that the team has serious challenges with communication both among themselves, and with the customer. If you're working with a skilled contractor to provide oversight, or have relatively straight forward requirements, they're probably fine, but if you need to work with them directly, expect to go over details with them repeatedly, and review their quotes and draft designs with an eye to every single detail that's important to you.

I thought she was very thorough. Gave us a price which was very good, & said that was everthing, but then we started to hear about, this isn't included, the stone guy would be extra, ect. & she was no longer a deal . By now, we're already into it.

I hired Christian and Janina for the refacing. They are very nice to deal with. I'm now waiting for the cabinets to come in , I will write a review when the project is completed, so far so good.

I liked the team of Cristian, Oscar, and Abraham right away. They were professional and courteous. They designed built in shelves in a bedroom closet. Abraham was a perfectionist builder. Shelves look beautiful. I would definitely call them again.

I had walnut bookshelves installed in my condo. They are just beautiful. I was particularly impressed with how quickly my order was filled.

Janna has excellent taste. She was great at helping me pick out tiles and bathroom accessories. She recommended an excellent contractor. And she kept me informed during the bathroom remodel. I was so happy with her work that I hired her to help with the remodel of the living room and dining room fireplaces.

Janina was instrumental in my taking the leap to remodel our kitchen. She made it sound so easy. She told us where to go for this and that and even went with us to help make decisions. Could have used more communications into the project but we didn't use a contractor which might be the missing link. We didn't know we needed one. The kitchen turned out perfect. Lovely cabinets and workmanship. We are completely happy with the end results.
