Reviews
Write a ReviewVery happy with my window repair.
I had a bad experience with Integrity dealing with owners David E. and Brandon R. I was charged an astronomical amount ($2300) for what they called bottom rail door wall rebuild. When they did the rebuild, they only replaced the lower indoor window casing portion of each door wall pane with a 2 dollar piece of pine that did not match the existing wood, nor the proper cuts of the original. They did not even caulk the glass fully and water is already entering 1 year later. It took 3 times to come back (with me having to take work days off) to finish the job and the third time they never showed up and will not respond back after multiple emails and calls. David (one owner) demanded full pay after the second day of work (which I only gave 80% total). I should have known this was fishy as he was very pushy about it and I should have known he would never come back to finish. David also broke the crank and mount for one of my windows that he said he would fix when they came back. They never did. Other oddities where the multiple or dual owners; (as told me by owner two (David Evans) doing the work) arguing with me about what owner one (Brandon R) (who quoted the work) meant he would fix. David insisted I was wrong regardless of the fact that Brandon took pictures of the needed repairs. They also repaired one door wall not EVEN ON THE quote and did not fix the actual one needing repair! In all they took 80% of my money, broke an operating window when fixing the glass and never came back to finish the 2 more door walls on the quote. Unreal. What I learned is that David was OK with fixing the doors walls that were fixed, but was not willing to repair the sliding door wall portion. As repairing sliding door walls with hidden wheels is more difficult and requires more experience and know how, I would ask them specifically if they intend to repair this portion. GET IT IN writing. They may be able to do these repairs. I am upset I worked with these people.
We do not think that $2,300 is an astronomical amount for performing highly detailed (custom) repair work on 7- rotted patio door walls, and one piece of glass. Just to buy only 1-patio door wall new with installation, would be more than $2,300 alone. We were able to save Rodney over $17,000 by performing repairs to restore his door walls. Also, we did not break anything that was not already broken. And by the way, we absolutely came back and install new parts for the broken window he is claiming we broke and never fixed, and can prove it. Any other complaints that Rodney stated just eludes us as to why he did not just call us.
I did not find any integrity in Integrity Windows. If you want to hide the damage to windows then this is a great company. However, if your aim is to solve the problem, you will be better off hiring a company with some integrity.
This statement is not accurate or true by any measure. We have been in business for over 20 years and fully have the experience and know-how to replace wood rot properly and the correct way. We do not cover up or put Band-Aids on problems. If this customer would not have been happy with our work trust me, he would never have paid in the first place. The only reason for his complaint is only based on a disagreement on his project. We found additional wood rot on another door wall that needed to be taken care of. We of course charged extra because it was not on the original contract and he did not want to spend the extra money to do it.
I was happy with what I had done although I did feel it was a little pricey for what I had done, but the job was taken care of. Also from the time I got my quote, to the time the job was done took about 6 weeks. In a bit of there defense weather does have a lot to do when they are able to work. I did have to keep calling to make sure I was still being thought of. Overall I was happy with company. Professional and courteous!
