I had hired Humberto to work on the front and back door of my house. When he had initially reached out, communication and professionalism were great. We had set up the estimate and then set up the time for them to come and do the work. The initial appointment we had went well when his son/nephew was with him. When he came he had me go get all the supplies (if you are the professional, why can not you go get it I reimburse you?). He offered to expand the scope of the project and we agreed. He showed up 2 hours late, demanded more money than what was previously agreed upon, and attempted to change the scope of the work to make it fit his tighter timeline since he was late. Honestly, it was not worth the headache and we did not agree to the second half of the work. I felt scammed in the end and would not recommend them.

Humberto was very good , arrived on time and his work habits were very good as was the quality of his work. My complaint is with HomeAdvisor. I was expecting to get a list of professional, from whom I could choose for my project. Instead, apparently, my name and address were given to many Painting Contractors and I felt uncomfortable with the many calls and men showing up at my house.. Another thing I felt I should point out is that most of the contractors seem not to appreciate the necessity of a written contract. It would seem to me that anyone I hire would be ready and able to prepare a contract covering the scope of work and other important elements. Of the people I talked to, while most stated they would sign a contract, none was prepared to write one. I would not use HomeAdvisor again unless these concerns are addressed. Humberto and his son provided a reasonable price and did quality work. They painted the concrete walls and concrete flooring. Very happy with the results. Will definitely use for future projects.

Humberto is an all-around general contractor able to paint, plumb, build decks, etc. Anything you want, he can do it. He's been painting in particular for 20 years, and has seen it all. We requested a quote to paint a bedroom, bathroom, and two and a half accent walls. He quoted $325. The day before, we asked him to also install a toilet and a vanity countertop. No problem. He arrived at 9:45 am and left at 8 pm. He brought his son to help paint. In addition to what we'd asked him to do, he cut through the bathroom drywall in two places to show the pipes were leaking, replaced the leaking pipes, re-drywalled, painted the dry wall, hung our mirror, took away the old toilet and countertop for disposal, and even, at the last moment, installed a little bit of new tile. Total price for all that? $630. And when I was $20 short, he happily took $610. We had worried that his lowball quote might mean lower quality, but at that price, we could afford to make a mistake. Not at all. He performed fantastic quality work. We absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a quality contractor at a literal fraction of the price of his competitors. Note that Humberto does speak broken English, so while he understands English, his responses are often in a mixture of Spanish and English. This doesn't detract from his quality!

These guys are outstanding. After speaking to them on the phone, I had them scheduled to arrive within a couple of days. We had them paint our living room, dining room, and downstairs and upstairs hallways. They did a fantastic job, finishing one day ahead of schedule. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations, but the biggest surprise was the price, which was well below what we were expecting. If you need painting done, go with Lopez & Sons. We will definitely be using them again.
