Write a ReviewMarcus came and inspected the project and gave me a quote said he was going to come back in four day's to do the job. Marcus never returned to do the job nor will he answer his phone or return messages or text he just left me hanging with no communication what so ever !! Very poor business !!!!
Homeland Exteriors were professional, honest and timely. Great crew, great service n job well done. Marcus is the greatest. Would recommend Marcus n his crew for any services they provide. I now have a beautiful new roof n gutters thanks to these guys.
Homeland Exteriors repaired a piece of facia that was damaged in a storm. They came out promptly to give me an estimate and did the work a few days later. The price was fair and I'm very satisfied with the quality ofwork. Two other companies I called never even showed up when they were supposed to to give me an estimate. Thank you Homeland.
The side of my house is wood, so over the years, the previous owner didnt take good care of it, so it had some spots where it was rotting, same for some trim. Wife saw these people had 5 stars, so went with them. Was quoted 1800 for 8 sheets of wood, and a few trim pieces with painting and sealing to be done. They fixed most of the rot spots, leaving 2 places that needed to be fixed on the first day (get into that later), and didn't seal anything, and used a piece of wood for the trim that had a huge chunk taken out of it, looked bad. Told me they would be back Saturday to paint when they left before i went out and checked everything. Second day, arrived, fixed 1 of 2 rot spots left from the 1st day (never did fix the other spot). Barely put one coat of paint on the wood, could see in between the seems where it wasnt even painted. When sealing between the old wood and new, didnt bother to try to blend in the sealant, so its super noticeable bumps and splotches. The work is pretty bad. As for clean up? I found some nails, pieces of the old torn off wooden siding laying on the ground, they didnt bother to throw away the old hardware/light fixtures that I said ok to them to trash because they broke coming off. Found a light bulb from them laying on the ground outside as well. Communication wise? They just showed up out of no where (on the day they said they were coming out, but just didnt tell us they were here) and started working on the house, didnt let us know. My wife was like Is someone banging on our house? It was them. When I emailed them about the work from the 1st day, they said ;Oh, we werent done with the wood repairs, we ran out of time (they left at around 2, 3?) They couldve told me that and gave me a run down of what they did and what was left before they left. 2nd day, they just showed up, no notifications, didnt tell us they were here, and just started work again. They said they were going to leave the spare can of paint they didn't use, but they didn't. Was the work worth 1800? No, maybe only half that, they used maybe half the wood they said they were going to use, and barely put on a single coat of paint. It was worth maybe half of what they charged me as they didn't use full sheets like they said, they used only parts of the sheets of wood. They left trash behind, especially some nails in my driveway. I personally am going to have to fix what should've been done (blend in the seal, paint the new sheets, pick up the mess). Due to this experience, I can not recommend them. Just to add to this reverie. They didnt even reconnect the down spot for my guess, they just left the ripped off pieces from where they ripped off the trim... Jesus Christ. Never use these people.
Hello Randi. Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I am sorry to hear that you felt this way about the work that was completed. It was my impression at the completion of the job that you were satisfied with the work as you signed off on the job. I will be happy to meet with you in person to go over these and any other concerns that you may have. I will be reaching out to you shortly. Sincerely, Marcus. - Homeland Exteriors LLC.
