Mike is a solid handyman and very good at what he did for me. I will hire them again without hesitation.

Very friendly. Recommend definitive quote up front to be sure you are both on the same page.

He quoted me $50 an hour to install my new door, but showed up with a second man (that clearly knew little more about installing doors than he did) which he expected me to pay $50 an hour as well (without any advance notice). They did a bad job which took them 3-4 hours to complete. I recently had to rehire another handy man to fix the installation and he was shocked about what he saw. Our door was hard to close due to poorly incorporated nails on the frame and a threshold that was not correctly installed. I trusted that he was able to do the work because of his word.

    Response from Company:

The home was constructed in approximately in the 1920's. The request was to install a used door from Habitat for Humanity. The door was sold as a thirty two inch door. The door measured 31 1/2 inches. The opening for the door was the correct size, 32". I choose to proceed anyway. The difference and how to properly install the door (remove the door casing and trim, move the strike plate close to the door to correct the difference) was explained. Correctly installing the door would require several hours in good light. The instructions were to make it work at this appointment. We spent considerable time exploring the configurations and picking materials. The requested start time was 4 pm, the project was being completed in the dark. The door did open and closed correctly. I can certainly understand to door being difficult a year later. The summer had some very wet spells causing some swelling. The surprise of the handyman would be expected. The information about the circumstances not being available.

Handy Randy tried hard, researched more on the Internet, and was easy to work with. Would contact him for other projects.

Randy was always very friendly, and worked hard to complete all the tasks we had asked of him - which were several. Overall Randy was obviously skilled in numerous ways; especially carpentry in many of our projects, and repaired several things around the home I needed fixed. I would recommend Randy to anyone who is looking for a quick turn around on household repairs.

Handy Randy recently repaired, power washed and stained our deck. He is exceptionally hard working, and very good at all that he does. We are very happy with his work, his fee,and the total outcome of the project. We highly recommend him.

He figured out what was wrong with my sliding door, but it took quite a while which added to the cost. Randy was a very personable young man.
