This was my first time using Home Advisor to locate a professional. I had reservations about how cumbersome the process would be. I was wrong, as my experience was wonderful! I was instantly linked to a couple professionals to choose from on my area. I chose Geist Fix-It and spoke to Michael the same day. I explained my repair need - a chandelier in the main foyer of my home was hanging on by only the wiring (the chain to support the weight of the chandelier along with the ceiling cover had come completely loose). The height of my ceiling is also well over 25 feet. Also, the was no current for the chandelier nor the adjoining room. Michael came to my home, quickly assessed the situation, and provided options for repair. We arranged the next day for him to begin working. On the next day Michael contacted me in the late morning to confirm our appointment for later that afternoon. He also explained that he had a creative approach to reach the height of my ceiling that did not involve scaffolding (which would’ve been more time and costs for me). When Michael arrived he set up and began diligently working on the problem. He involved me and explained every step of the process. After an hour or two of creative problem solving and diligent work the issue was completely resolved! The story does not end there... I had casually mentioned the need to hang a mirror over the landing of my staircase. Michael proactively hung the mirror for me. My wife was absolutely thrilled! Also, upon leaving my home Michael noticed a down spout in my landscaping that was not connected. He literally repaired that, too, on his way out! During all of our interactions Michael was very professional, personable, courteous, and most of all, a creative problem-solver. His services were very reasonably priced and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him! I hired Michael to do some mulching, weed pulling and general yard work after my lazy husband refused to get to it. The price was VERY reasonable and I could not have been happier with his professionalism. He did a great job!
