Gael Chimney Repairs

I hired this company to sweep the chimney and do an inspection on it. The person that came out was very nice, however I don't know what kind of job he did. He told us he was going to submit the paper to the office and they would show us pictures and let us know if anything needed to be done. Then you folks ask us to review their work. We received no e-mail or paper telling us the results for having the work done. I called the company and a man answered and told me he would have someone e-mail the information today. He also said he would call back at 5:00pm to see if I had received it. I did not receive th e-mail, nor the phone call. I will not work w/people that LIE to me!

We hired Gael Chimney to inspect and potentially provide some solutions for 2 fireplaces in our home that did not pass level 2 inspection. They provided estimates that were very complete and broken down into categories that were understandable.Their estimates were not only more complete than those we received from others, but they were also considerably lower in cost. When it came to having the work done, they were prompt, worked very hard, and were very excellent at cleaning up. They were creative with solutions and willing to some some features along the way that improved the value for us. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend this company!

My only criticism is they didn't show up when they said they would, but the quality of work when they arrived was excellent!

I asked him to repair the flashing which came loose from the roof. He fixed it but never quoted us. He pounded 3 nails in it and charged me $150.00. Almost as much as it cost to clean the chimney. I thought that was excessive. But, the cleaning of the chimney was great.

One employee was in our home for one hour. He said he would send the photos of the inspected fireplace to his boss, who would contact me. The second employee, who was in his vehicle, gave me the invoice. He told me not to use the fireplace (creosote) liner. I felt there was a language issue. His boss would call me in a few days. Two weeks have past and still no phone call.

The two employees were very clean cautious putting down drop cloths and were so pleasant. We were so happy with the job they did and will hire them again!
