A few years ago we did a simple remodel of two bathrooms in Menlo Park with FVR. By the time we finished the project we just wanted these folks out of the house. After a few years I felt it was necessary to share our negative experience and how poorly much of the work has held up. Specific issues; 1. Substandard workmanship: a. Heating vent under the house was left unconnected--I was heating our crawlspace and not the bathroom for 6 months. This went undetected until I went under the house for something else! b. Looking in my attic, the electrical work to hookup the bathroom fan is clearly not up to code--junction box is not closed and there are multiple exposed wire splices. c. Gang box for the newly installed light switch is clearly not level and out of square. 2. Numerous examples with low quality finish carpentry: a. Gouge on a newly installed sliding door from the aluminum frame--supposedly fixed then recurred. b. Spackle and paste used to patch the casing around the door frame where it contacts the bathroom tile--looks terrible c. A supposedly 'straight' wall that was rebuilt by FVR, clearly bulges with an obvious curve in the baseboard. d. Sloppy work on the plumbing cover plates for one toilet--half smeared with paint and not attached to the wall properly. 3. Low quality of painting: a. Two slightly different colors of white used in one bathroom with sloppy caulking around the trim. b. Numerous blotches of paint on hardwood floors around the hallway baseboard--the kind that would be easily have been avoided by using masking tape. 4. Sloppy personnel and poor cleanliness: a. Folks were working while we were on vacation, and we came home late in the evening to find construction debris scattered in our front yard including razor blades, paint on our front walk (where stains can still be seen). b. For a year afterwards we found trash (food wrappers & empty bottles) behind the bushes or buried in the shrubs. c. I saw workers 'free handing' a circular saw for trim and baseboard--where one guy would hold the boards and another would use the circular saw. For sure not a safe or effective option--just glad nobody was hurt at our house by these substandard practices. Nobody could be bothered to bring a jobsite saw. I will add that we pointed out most of these issues to the company reps while they were happening-- most responses 'Just an honest mistake' and/or 'We will send somebody over to fix that'. At a certain point you stop trusting anyone from the company and just want these 'less-than-competent' folks out of the house. The customer shouldn't have to check all these details--especially about heating/plumbing/electrical work. Would not ever trust this company again to touch our house.

We interviewed different groups and contractors and designers for over a year. We ultimately came back because of the combination of white glove service that Future Vision brought us. With the complexities of dealing with the city and permits electricians plumbers down to what furniture needed to go in to fit the final design, these guys were it. Barak was personally the reason I chose them but Iâ ve read other reviews that their project managers and teams give similar experiences. Barak, however, helped us pick out every appliance, fixture, plant and art. Our custom water front home kept its character while modernizing it. Would only work with Barak again for anything we would do for the future.

One of the best contractor/remodeling experiences we have ever had. FVR was quick to get back to us and schedule time to review the scope of work and give us a quote. Asi and Michael (PMs) listened to our needs, fully explained the process, and provided a great customer experience. Another factor and benefit of our selection of FVR was that the construction crew was dedicated to our project. David and his team were great! They were here every day 8-4 until the work was completed. Any issues or concerns were addressed quickly and in the end resulted in a bathroom we love! Would definitely recommend FVR and will use them again for any future remodeling projects.

I wouldn't work with this firm again. Reasons: - In house designer did not provide much support (I still had to spend hours looking through tile samples, did not provide help with choosing lighting, etc). I was left to make these decisions and looking back I ended up with poor design choices like mismatching metals (polished nickel vs polished chrome). I don't think the designer had any training aside from AutoCAD/visualization. - contractors spilled red liquid (used for tile application) all over my carpet and didn't give me a heads up before I got home. They fixed it but not after I had to ask them back twice. - botched the inside of my pre-fab vanity when they created the hole for the plumbing fixture - saw cuts were jagged and extended beyond the intended opening. Not fixable. - many little things I had to point out that were done incorrectly or without attention to detail. All were fixed after I pointed them out (eg wall texture spray/backsplash on my bed and other walls, sloppy tile work where toilet plumbing enters wall, crooked bathroom fan/vent install, several screws (like 10) coming through to the other side of the wall, shower head hung lower than plan, vanity light not centered over mirror). - at times blame put back on me when I addressed issues (eg when timeframe kept getting extended I was blamed for "changing my mind" about shower height versus them taking responsibility for scheduling issues and not having crews onsite for days on end without communicating that to me. - at times texts and communication from me required several follow ups

Future Vision Remodeling built an addition to my house. I was surprised how this project went so smoothly but Future Vision is reliable company. Tony was my project manager, and he was great. He was honest, communicative and respectful. The rest of the crew was also amazing, they cleaned house every day at the end of their work. If there was some issues he resolved everything and informed me before to find best solution. The project was finished ahead of schedule and outcome was excellent. Will highly recommend Future Vision Remodeling, very trustworthy contractor!
