Reviews
Write a ReviewExtremely efficient, clean and precise work. All done as explained in a very timely manor. My basement has not had a drop of water since remediation. Highly recommended.
Steve, the owner, came over to explain the problems we were having and how it will be fixed. He even mentioned independent outlets would be installed for the sump pumps by an electrician as part of the contract. The cost of the permit was included in the price. He discussed the costs and how the job will be done. He was very knowledgeable and gave me and my daughter a feeling of confidence that the problems would be fixed in a professional and competent manner and guaranteed for life.He was always available to answer additional questions even after the contract was signed. His crew came when they were scheduled and immediately covered and protected the area near and around the work area. They moved large items like the washer and dryer in order to do their work. The foreman answered any questions I had even during the work assuring me that it was being properly done. He was patient and professional. The entire job was competed in one day including the clean up. I was impressed by the whole operation. Steve called after it was done to make sure I was satisfied with the job. My basement has remained dry after many of the rain storms that followed. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.
They worked fast
Steve and team were incredibly professional. Steve spent more time than expected walking us through everything and even rearranged the schedule to help us. Hard to believe how swiftly the crew completed the job and cleaned everything so well. While it’s not easy making these decisions, it was all worth it watching the system work during the first rain storm! 10/10 would recommend if you have ground water.
I'm not a review writing person, but I will make an exception here. First of all, the salesperson, Steve was awesome. He explained everything to the detail. It also helps that First choice offers two year no interest financing. The work crew came in on Monday morning, twenty minutes before they said they would. I have a big basement, it took them two days from start to finish. When they were done, one of the guys gave me a walk around explaining everything. Boy, my basement never looked so clean and good. They were very professional, quick and left the basement immaculate. Highly appreciated. And here's the thing, the very next Sunday thru Monday, we had a rain storm and my basement was dry as a bone. I could actually see the water as it was coming out of the pipe outside my house from the sump pump. It's been predicted that this Sunday - Monday we're gonna have a worse rainstorm than last week. I can't wait Overall, I would give this company a plus ten !
Our basement has been completely dry after their work. Excellent work!
First Choice Waterproofings BBB rating is a D for a reason. Do not make the same mistake my parents made. Please hire a more reputable company with positive reviews to waterproof your basement. First Choice Waterproofing wants to collect all payments without completing the job. Steve from First Choice Waterproofing has threatened to void their warranty if all payments are not paid in full regardless of leaving the jobsite incomplete, unsafe and will not pass township inspection. First Choice Waterproofing has removed all obstruction including electric outlets to start the job but failed to communicate who will be responsible to fix all that was removed. First Choice Waterproofing has left existing electrical outlets hanging on a piece of string which is a complete fire hazard. Even their own workers deemed it unsafe but did not address. First Choice Waterproofing has also left all cut framing studs hanging in place when it was communicated by Steve that it will be removed and bagged safely. First Choice Waterproofing took advantage of an elderly customer who knew not what to ask and trusted the company to do a safe and completed job. Steve from First Choice Waterproofing will provide a low estimate then will add additional work and charge thousands extra for the work in the end.
Bryan, as a business we prefer to address our customer's on a more personal basis but feel the need to address your concerns on the same platform you've voiced them. The initial meeting with your parents, you were present for the entire presentation. No one took advantage of your parents nor would we ever move forward with a job if we felt more representation was needed, but thankfully you yourself were present to discuss any and all concerns. Our contract states in detail the work our crew would perform and what was not covered in the scope of the waterproofing job. With a finished basement we do not return the basement to the original condition which is noted in the contract. We performed all work stated on the contract, brought in an electrician and installed new electrical outlets dedicated to the sump pumps. While our crew was working on your parent?s house their furnace was not working and you happened to be out of town. Our staff called the gas company for them and covered the cost to have the repairs done. Our intentions have been and always will be the safety of our client?s home. All necessary work performed is to the utmost standard and passes all inspections. Nothing is deemed unsafe and our crew would never leave the home in the conditions in which you described. Upon speaking with you today 11/28/23, you were unhappy with the denial of requests beyond the scope of our contract. The warranty is not void and wasn?t threatened to be voided. It was explained that the warranty does not get activated until all remaining balances are paid. Since the waterproofing job is complete according to all terms of the contract, the balance needs to be paid and then the warranty is active. Our office is always available to discuss any and all concerns. It is our goal to ensure that each customer is satisfied and the completion of each job performed by us.
I thought they did a great job. VERY hard workers and ALL were very nice.Hasn't rained yet for a test but I'm quite certain it will be fine. Plumbing and electrical inspectors for permit thought they did an "impressive "job.Only problem, there were 2large pieces that they said they would remove but that hasn't happened!!!! So far I can't get the basement back in order since those pieces are in the way. I did remind them but so far NOTHING!!!
Excellent craftsmanship. Highly knowledgeable concerning inspection requirements.
Very happy with the outcome. Steve helped us get comfortable with the water proofing process and Wilson and his crew did an outstanding job getting all the work done. They communicated well and answered any questions we had. Highly recommended!
