Reviews
Write a ReviewUsed a different grade metal than was contracted. Made no effort to install gate. Was less than professional overall. It is strongly suggested that Servicemagic discontinue using this contractor!
Expensive
Brian Roper is quite thorough in his dealings with us. he has explained all facets of the job and been very flexible with us on timing (accommodating our business schedules) to view the property, scope the job and start the project. I also learned a lot about the standards for installing fences and we also talked to him about installing pavers which also involved conversation about leveling the land, depth of sill below, etc. None of the other contractors mentioned anything about those and other factors to consider when doing a project such as ours.
Very thorough and knowledgable. More complete in mapping out the job than two others who came (who were also good people and responsive, btw) and a gave a reasonable price estimate. However, my ultimate decision was based not on lowest bidder but on demonstrated knowledge.
He failed miserably at completing the landscaping work, never paid his employees and then closed his company and never delivered what he promised -- terrible job, not responsible not a company of their word
The price wasa reasonable. The job is beautiful.
Only half of the job was done satisfactorily and took 200% more time to complete than was nec.
The absolute worst contractors we have ever had! They were constantly late arriving to the job site; on occasion, did not show up for days; on occasion, left the job site in a mess. The unfortunate thing is that after the job was completed, it was absolutely beautiful. If they improved on their professionalism, they could be a force to be reckoned with. The only thing I would tell a prospective client if they wanted to hire them is to purchase your own material and have them ready. They kept bringing a little bit of material at a time.
2009 was an unfortunate year for us. We were beset with setbacks from bad workers to scheduling and this project and few others suffered immensely, for this we do apologize. We take feedbacks seriously and endeavor to keep making improvements that will put us back in good standing with all our clients
........There was a small delay in trying to get together to meet but once schedules were synched all was ok. The work done was satisfactory. All was not completed due to 2nd contractor working in almost same space and weather delays. But when weather warms up, the balance will be done. Would definitely use again.
Asked me what I wanted to have done then explained to me what he'd do and how he'd do it. Also offered helpful suggestions for other plants in the yard.
