We just had our bathroom remodeled and we are beyond thrilled at the look. Definitely looks like something out of a magazine.

Well its been a year since the work began on three bathroom remodels. Job still not complete, they never returned to pick up their materials they said they wanted, and demanded over payment for what work they did do, under guise that they would be back. DO NOT do business with this company !!!! FYI most of the reviews are employees and family members of the employees. Frustrated in West Bloomfield.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Epic Home Solutions or rather Epic Home Nightmare. My mother and I hired them to remodel her bathroom to make it accessible, as she is wheelchair-bound and needs specific accommodations. Unfortunately, they did not complete the job correctly, leaving her without a functioning bathroom. They never pulled a permit, which when you hire a â  professional companyâ  youâ  d expect them to obtain one. Rather they told us after the job was complete that we were supposed to obtain one. Unfortunately we arenâ  t bathroom remodeling specialists so we were seen as dumb home owners who they can now blame all on. To begin, we started with Jerry H. We originally spoke to him as he worked at Re-Bath. We called him back a few months later after deciding and he walked in with a Five-Star Bath Solutions t-shirt on, and continued to say he quit re-bath and proceeded to write us up for a â  great company for handicap bathroomsâ  . We paid our down payment and proceeded with Kyle W. I spoke with Kyle and stated â  any questions you have to please call me and if you canâ  t get ahold of me have my mother call meâ  . He proceeded to ask my father questions who had no idea about the remodel and told Kyle to ask my mother or I. As I also told Jerry when he was writing the estimate. Kyle told my father about the floor being built up, and apparently also told me (he didnâ  t). But rather I walked in and saw the floor build up but I didnâ  t know what was going on. Again I am no professional and donâ  t want to be in the way asking questions, but apparently I should have taken work off and sat in that bathroom and watched every move. A little while later he comes up to me with a little 3 inch rubber ramp from Amazon on his phone which I assumed was for a gap in between the shower and vinyl plank, while asking if this was ok. Rather when he finished and I found out it was the bathroom entrance ramp. It broke off the floor right when we tried to roll her up the first time. To add to the finishing of the bathroom, there is quite the gap under the window with a bad drywall slice as well as gaps in between the glue down vinyl plank flooring (which we thought would be click lock). They then came back a few weeks later with a new ramp they screwed into the floor. This was not at all what we wanted. We were told this was going to be a zero entry shower. Assuming the flooring would stay the same into the bathroom as it was prior but apparently not. Also may I add that the entrance into the bathroom is like a 90 degree angle so with the ramp being extended out it is hard to get the wheelchair in. We then called Karen V (the secretary and owners girlfriend) who told us she would find a solution. Which she didnâ  t. So we called Jerry and requested to have a group call which he said we would have on Friday, this call never happened. So we then called him and added Karen and finally had our own meeting held. This got us practically no where. So then I called Karen and requested to speak to the Owner, Gregory K, who she refused to give me his number, so I found it and called it myself and of course he didnâ  t answer. She promised sheâ  d have him call me back the next day, which of course she didnâ  t, so I messaged her and she told us he wouldnâ  t be able to talk that day so I said of course and continued by saying I would have to make this a legal matter and amazingly he called me right away. He was no help whatsoever as I have all messages and phone calls recorded. Unfortunately my father signed off on the work unknowing to what we were expecting. We paid the total as companies like this are the first to slap leans on your house. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend epic home solutions to anyone, not even my worst enemy, especially if you require an accessible remodel.

Response from Company:

Kayla, I am not sure where you are getting your information from but Karen is NOT the owner's girlfriend. She is an employee. I know first hand that you and your mother are unreasonable. I did see a video of you ramming her into the door frame to try to prove she cannot get into the bathroom. How did she get into the same door way before? She can get into the bathroom and she can use her new shower, which turned out beautifully. I would hope you would take this ranting review down as all it is, is noise. Thank you! Tricia

**** PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU CONTRACT THIS COMPANY.*** My wife and I were looking to redo 3 bathrooms. They came in told they would pull permits, they of course did not. What was supposed to take 3 week took 10 weeks and the job is still not complete. We were with out a bathroom for 49 days! Please research the with your local municipality, for Licenses and Permits pulled by this company.

The whole team was fantastic. They worked past dark to get the job done to avoid pending rain the neat day. I really felt comfortable from start to finish. The experience could not have been better. I recommend Epic highly.
