He came to look at my yard and was on time and very helpful. Was very impressed with him. The very first question about rating the work should be N/A as they havenâ  t started yes so disregard the low setting

My husband and I wanted a built-in grill off our back patio. Communication was pretty slow at the beginning while trying to get a quote, but we didn't let that deter us. We had Elks on our property for a few days working on our grill, and each day I came home to a new problem. - Day 1: All of my gates were left open and my dogs almost got out. - Day 2: Wooden boards were left with screws in them sticking up and my dogs almost stepped on them when running into their backyard. - Day 3: Bottle caps and other trash were left in the yard and one of my dogs choked on some of the trash. (Luckily I was able to get it out of his throat.) I contacted Alex each day and let him know what was going on, stressing the fact that his crew needs to be more mindful of the fact that people and pets live here and that more care should be taken, and I get a text saying, "100% agree. Honestly I'm embarrassed" I expected things to get better, but the next week, another gentleman arrived on our property. Upon his arrival, he decided to go behind our large shed for a few minutes as seen on our backyard camera. Our shed is a good 30 feet from the work area, and he had no reason to be behind it - not once, but twice. About 45 minutes later, he leaves and no one else does any work that day. I brought the concern up to Alex and sent him the camera footage, and he thought that maybe he was using the bathroom. I was in shock! I told Alex that he was there less than an hour and that if he needed to go to the bathroom, there was a Burger King 10 minutes down the road. Alex stated that if he had to leave that it would be a 20 minute round trip that he wouldn't be working and that it's not uncommon for workers to use the bathroom on properties, relating it to the fact that my dogs do it. I was appalled, and told him that no one needed to be anywhere near the shed from this point forward as it is nowhere near where they should be working. Now another crew comes in to finish installing the granite and the grill. I got home to find papaya peel all over my yard along with a razor blade and trash left behind, and I noticed that the granite didn't look quite right. Naturally, I reviewed the camera footage from the day and saw one of the crew members wandering around my yard, my neighbors yard, spending time behind our shed - not really doing much of anything. Again, I sent the camera footage to Alex and explained how uncomfortable it made us feel that his workers were wandering around our property, and he disclosed to me that the gentleman was a recovering alcoholic and acted strange - information that I feel should not have been shared with me. As I was reviewing this footage, we also discovered something else. The granite company hired by Elks broke our granite countertop into multiple pieces and tried to seam it together - unsuccessfully, of course. I thought that maybe the light was hitting it weird, but my husband noticed the breaks as well, and the camera footage confirmed it. The sad thing is that no one said a word to us. It took me sending the camera footage and mentioning what happened for it to be addressed. The members of the Elks crew were standing right there when it happened and should have reported it to Alex, and then it should have been reported to us, but it wasn't. We wanted the granite replaced to avoid any future issues, so Alex told my husband that they could come out on the following Monday. We had told Alex that no one was allowed on our property any longer without one of us being home, so we needed to know what time they were coming so we could make arrangements. We never heard back until the evening before, at which point it was too late for one of us to take off for the time he had specified. They ended up coming the following week when I had a day off, and we finally had the job finished.

Has not completed the 2nd of 2 jobs properly and has not come back after repeated requests to do so. Elks Lawn Care is still on your active list despite his not completing the job properly. We still have newly installed drain tubes exposed above the surface where the lawn mowers can hit them.

I used Elks Lawn Care to level low areas in my back yard and cover with centipede sod. I was initially pleased with the service until the first rain. I sent pictures to Brian of the standing water, and told him I was not satisfied with the leveling since water was standing over my new sod. That was over a month ago. He never returned my call. At this point, I do not expect to hear from him. I paid $1,150.00 for this service.
