Write a ReviewMoving from Dallas to Chicago. Appreciated the 30-day free storage but expect this is where the problems arose. The packing and loading crew were good. The unloading and re-assembling crew not so good, rushed and somewhat indifferent as to where the items were to be placed in the new location. Also, and most disappointing, is that when we were finally able to get into our boxes and furniture, we found significant water damage that could have only been done while the items were in storage though we were re-assured multiple times that the storage facility was secure and safe. Obviously not. With thousands of dollars in damages and some items totally destroyed (old photos) we were offered $100. Amazing that they can take your property, reassure you that it is secure and then be indifferent to the significant water damage. Based on this, I cannot recommend them for a long-distance, out-of-state move or any move that includes storage.

Regarding the delivery in Chicago, we?re sorry you felt the unloading team was rushed. Our goal is always to ensure everything is placed where the client wants it, and we regret if that wasn?t your experience. As for the water damage you discovered later: we understand how upsetting that is. However, it?s important to clarify that your move included extensive conversations with our team?specifically Ashley?on May 22 and May 23 regarding valuation coverage. You were clearly informed that items packed by owner (PBO) are not covered under basic protection and that Full Valuation Protection (FVP) would be required to fully insure your belongings, especially sentimental items. That paperwork was sent to you but never signed or selected. Despite that, we still offered a settlement under the basic coverage of $0.60 per pound, which is standard and was outlined in your estimate and contract. You declined additional protection, even after follow-up calls and clear guidance on how to cover high-value items like your piano. We do not believe we were indifferent?in fact, multiple efforts were made to explain your options clearly and transparently. Unfortunately, because you did not opt into the additional coverage, we are bound by the limits of the standard policy. While the team in the sales and coordination office were nice and professional. I also paid for the "white glove" service. Unfortunately, that's were the problem lay. My computer equipment was improperly packed, causing damage. I also had several items come up missing (Imagine my surprise when my things arrived, I start unpacking and was like "WTF?!?!"). Long story short, if you DO decide to hire this company, pack your own things even if you pay for the "Full value" insurance, it won't be worth it.

The least stressful, most efficient, cost-effective move ever and I have moved 6 times in the last 12 years. The best customer service and the first time nothing was broken during a move.
