The owner Justin Lantz is a state licensed general contractor who is involved of every aspect of each project EIB completes. How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because I have personally inspected over 18,000 homes that have had impact windows and doors installed. Many of which were done incorrectly and in violation of Florida Building Code. Many of the homeowners were also sold products that were/are not up to Florida State Insurance standards for Wind Mitigation discounts. I decided to enter this specific niche of the construction industry to change the way homeowners like yourself are "handled". Most, if not ALL companies selling impact/storm windows and doors send out a sales rep and will just yes you to death to earn your business. EIB Construction is OWNED and OPERATED by myself, Justin Lantz. I am a Florida State Licensed General Contractor and also a licensed Insurance adjuster. I know what is needed to satisfy the building inspectors, and equally important your insurance company. That being said, I will personally do whatever I can to earn your trust first, your business second..

Inspect a Home

Working with Justin was an outstanding experience! He was very knowledgeable, helpful, a wealth of information and exceeded our expectations. Making an appointment was easy, arrival time and communication was perfect, very professional and articulate/easy to understand. We needed a 4-point inspection and wind mitigation. He did the inspections in a very timely manner, sent us the results as promised and we were able to get them passed on to our insurance company. We highly recommend EIB Construction as excellent company to work with.

Loved working with EIB from beginning to end & I could not recommend them more!! I just moved to Pembroke Pines from up north & after doing some research I decided to have impact windows and doors installed. I had several different companies come out to give me estimates but EIB really stood out the most to me. Their no pressure way of doing business by not using any sales tactics on us really made me and my husband feel like part of their family! They came in for about 30 mins and answered every single question we had. Within 48 hours we had an email with our estimate & they let us take our time in deciding what was truly best for us. Unlike the other companies there was never any pressure to hire them. The day of instillation ran just a smooth as the estimate process, they came in, set up, & installed all my impact windows and doors. They even cleaned up so good you couldnÃ¢Â Â t even tell I had contractors in my house that day. Thank you EIB for being such a great company i love my new windows and doors!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
