The technician who did the work was very nice, explained what is needed, etc. The initial quote was quite high and then he called Door-Mart to ask if there is discount to apply and got 10% off the initial price. I am under the impression that going through HomeAdvisor means I am getting the best value and I do not have to bargain. This was disappointing. Eventually I paid $736 to replace two springs for a standard 2 car home garage, I think the price is still high. I went with Door-Mart because my car was stuck inside the garage and need to get the work done.

I asked what the charge would be for a service call to estimate repair on my Genie that quit working. The response, $99. When the tech arrived he said the $99 was only to come to my door. To actually diagnose the problem I had to pay an extra $189. After 10 minutes he determined that the motherboard did not work. So I paid $288 for ten minutes work to determine that my genie could not be repaired. I had to buy a newer model. So I found a local company that came out for a free estimate and is doing the repairs.

They installed a garage opener for us and then forgot about the key pad installation. They installed the key pad, no problem, in like 15 minutes. Great job!!!!
