Don and his crew are expert skilled carpenters. So glad I hired them to redo a botched custom wood gate amateurishly built a month ago by a supposedly reputable local fence builder here in Columbus. Needless to say, that previous fence builder didn't charge me for his lame attempt to build a wood gate, just the fence. It's harder than it looks to get it done right. Call Don and ask him who he has to clean up after the most in terms of botched carpentry jobs...then hire Don...that's my recommendation. Don was very responsive, did the work exactly as described and for what I paid for. I feel like I got exactly what I wanted this time. I really wish I had called him FIRST to build my gate and fence before I met this other firm. Let's leave it at that. Job well done, and I would hire Don Clemens again for any future carpentry work. 5 stars.

My wife and I went through several door contractors before finding Don. Where others lacked in responsiveness, courtesy, and professionalism, Don surpassed it. He and Robert attacked a custom exterior door install (the prior door frames for the front and back of the house were not standard dimensions) with confidence in their abilities. The end product was beautiful and well done. Don even helped me order the doors on a Sunday when anyone else would have told me to wait. Also, by Don helping me order the doors, I sidestepped a $500 addition the Hardware store was suggesting. I would refer Don and Robert to anyone thinking about repairing or replacing any doors, exterior or interior.

Very personable made great impression. When they did job looked good but we paid them and trusted them to clean overspray on siding and touch up thin and missed parts they never came back even on promises they would. May do good job but don't pay bill until job is done. Started excellent but disappointed in lack of follow through.

I was pleased with the quick response and repair! They did a wonderful job and will be contacting them when warmer temperatures permit to replace wood stairs and railing.
