BEST WORK EVER!!

we had a portion of our roof significantly damaged during the "blizzard" this past weekend. It was tough to find anyone available or willing to go on our third floor dormer to repair it. Thank God, we were blessed to find someone who would come out and do the job. John DeWitt, and his workers from John DeWitt Construction were very efficient and thorough. If you have a construction project, consider hiring them.

John DeWitt of DeWitt Construction is amazing. He is helpful in decision making, knowledgeable, efficient and competent. He answers all questions and keeps his promises. I hired him on a Sunday. He said all the roofing materials would be here on Wednesday and he would start work on Thursday at 8 am which he did. The next day the metal roof on my house was 99% finished. He was short a small amount of roofing. A few days later it was delivered. He was here when it was delivered and finished the job including cleaning up an hour later. He is good! His workers are even better. They are an awesome crew of 5-6 men who are extremely capable and efficient. Each one knows his job and they all work in coordinated unity. There s no music. Noise is a minimum. They are careful and respectful of property and do an excellent job. I m very satisfied. When I need any construction work done in the future my first call will be to DeWitt Construction.

John DeWitt was quick to respond to my inquiry for an estimate, very timely on getting the project done and extremely reasonable. He takes on one job at a time which allows for individualized attention. His crew was dedicated and hard working. Very satisfied with the work completed....

Found this company through the Better Business Borough. I went there first to see who is registered prior getting a bid for contract. I'm so glad I did because that led me to John DeWitt Construction who for HALF the cost, and ONE QUARTER the time did everything I asked for and made my cement siding removal and replacement with Mastic Structure siding a dream come true. John is very pleasant and professional to work with and his crew are seasoned pro's who were great to meet and work with. I'd say, I'm especially impressed with the sheet metal work they did all around my windows and the care they took to ensure the siding all lined up just right. I'm going to hire them immediately again to redo my metal roof that is old/gray and looks like a barn right now and my expectations are quite high. I took other bids on this work and John's company hit the sweet spot. Not only were they much less expensive than some other businesses, I could tell right off the bat that the reason WHY they are cheaper is because they SPEND much less time getting the job done. Here's the most important thing to know: They're cheaper and faster because the KNOW what they're doing!!!! That's the key, they're Pro's- they're educated, experienced and due to that they're much more efficient. I think they took about 2.5 days to remove all the old shingles, put house wrap all around, put the new siding up and also frame all my windows in metal. My final thoughts on this is that this business operates the way you'd expect them to. They don't require to gouge you of money, spread their team across projects thus extending yours. No. They give you a good price, they get in there, get it done and then move on to their next project. That's RARE. Most other business will take on a bunch of projects then take forever to get them done because they're all spread out in an attempt to grab all the work they can while making the customer miserable and wait forever while some group of strangers encamp around and in your house for a month(s). DeWitt Constructions simply goes the opposite direction in this regard, they get in, get out, make the customer happy and go to the next project of which I'm sure they have many and after this review, I hope they get all they want. They're good honest people and John is really a treasure to work with. Not many people and businesses out there like this one... In fact after about a dozen businesses have come and gone, I'd say DeWitt Construction is the most unique and best company out there.

The job was done in a good timely fashion at a reasonable cost.

I have lived in the North Country for many years, sometimes finding reliable contractor's can be challenging, Dewitt construction has always been on time they have done severial repairs and upgrades to our home. In addtion while repairing our roof from storm damage they noticed our neighbor had some damage to thier roof. John DeWitt fixed my 80+ year old neighbors roof free of charge. You dont see that kind of kindness very often now days. Weather you need a small repair or a full remodeling job I would strongly recommend DeWitt construction
