Denstan was hired to install new countertops to my kitchen cabinets. I had outlets installed - industrial because I wanted to preserve as much of the original 1920s backsplash as possible. But the outlets were set. Everything seemed to be going fine, he took his measurements and the countertop and backsplash were made. He did the installation while I was out of town for work. My general contractor called and said one of the outlets was removed. When I asked Denstan about it, he said I would have to hire an electrician to install new wiring to go up and around the countertop and backsplash. My general contractor asked if I authorized Denstan to make such a call, which I had not. When Denstan arrived to ?repair? the outlet, he planned to not make the outlet as I had originally had it but do his idea of snaking the wires up and around. He and my general contractor got into a heated argument while I was on the phone with him, telling him that?s not what I wanted to begin with nor what I want now. I never authorized him to remove anything and that outlet was never discussed with me until my contractor brought it up. I specifically had that outlet installed and now it is just gone. I very much wanted to work with this guy, I can understand making mistakes, but he was refusing to work with me to come to an amicable resolution. He refused to correct the mistake. The way things were left, both in the physical space and the interactions today, are unacceptable.
