Write a ReviewWas looking to do a bathroom remodel to compliment a plumbing repair. They came in and verbally quoted $40k. $40k for a total bathroom remodel is not in our budget, so we were then was pitched doing vanities and tub now, then the $16k shower later. And none of that includes any plumbing. Come on, that's ridiculous pricing, and of course they won't break out any quotes between materials and labor because it's a "one stop shop service". But then after talking through the first steps of the remodel, we didn't even end up getting a quote sent to us. Just disrespectful. Way overpriced anyway...
We can understand the client’s frustration as water leaks in a home is never fun or inexpensive. A DFW Improved team member went out to assess some damage from a water leak. The client already had his own plumbing company come out to give him a bid on the repairs. The client was adamant that he did not want the plumbing lines in the foundation (This was his 4th slab leak) and that his plumbing company would need to remove drywall, flooring, and vanities and run the plumbing lines through the walls and ceiling. Since there were so many unknowns in the repairs DFW Improved would need to do after his plumbing company was done running the plumbing lines we only gave ballparks figures. We apologize for the miscommunication as we left the meeting under the impression our team member was waiting on the full scope from the client's plumbing company's scope of work so DFW Improved could determine a more firm number on what was needed from us. Our team member discussed with the client the estimated price until we knew what needed to be repaired after the plumbing company completed their scope of work in running the plumbing lines. Our team member even offered to come back out to meet his plumbing company and go over the repair process with them because the client wasn’t sure what all needed to do. He asked for a ballpark and it was discussed mid to upper 40's to do it all. His wife even commented and said "See I told you so" to him. Our team member offered another way to do the bathroom in stages and gave the client a ballpark of mid 20's for the remodel the client wanted outside of the water leak repairs; vanity, tub, tile, etc.
Did a complete kitchen redesign. Great communication and workmanship. I will be using them again.
Hi Todd. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are happy to see your feedback about the kitchen redesign, and we’ll look forward to helping you again in the future.
We had an extensive remodel focused on a home built in 1978. We had all the floors replaced, gutted 4 bathrooms, gutted the kitchen, and took down 4 major walls to enable an open concept layout (which required 4 beams). We could tell from the beginning that DFW Improved was a great company starting with the bid from Juan through the interior design with Sarah and then through the remodeling process with Luis. The scope of the project required our family to move out for the entirety of the renovation. The communication and status updates from Luis was phenomenal. We always knew what stage of the project we were in and which trade would be performing what work on any given day. Luis was wonderful at walking us through the process and discussing options and any potential obstacles/challenges. When we did face issues, Luis and his team came up with solutions to enable the project to move forward and still meet our vision for our home. At no point throughout the renovation process did it become a negative experience due to the transparency and patience of Luis and his team. We would highly recommend DFW Improved to anyone considering a home renovation.
Jerome, Thank you for taking time to leave us a detailed review and recommendation. We are glad to read how happy you are with the results of your home remodeling project, and the feedback on our staff is very helpful too. We look forward to helping you, and your friends or relatives in the future.
We worked with DFW Improved over the course of 1.5 years for a whole home renovation and home addition. Big project! Our project manager, Luis R., was professional, responsive, detail oriented and overall a pleasure to work with! We couldn’t be more pleased with how the project turned out!
Thank you for trusting us with your whole home renovation and addition project. We appreciate your feedback and endorsement. Please let us know if we can help your friends and family in the future.
Joke of an estimate process. “We don’t touch master bathroom remodels for less than $50k”. Incredibly off-putting elitist attitude. Like, you can’t afford us…
