Write a ReviewWas easy to schedule and did z good job of going through the house and explaining any issues that might be related to structure, and provided good recommendations.
My contact with Criterium- McCafferty Engineers was a delightful experience. Melissa the associate was very professional and prompt in getting the information I needed and was able to get our clients inspection done very quickly. Thank you Criterium-McCafferty Engineers you are our go to engineering company!!
I have worked with Mark for 14+years originally for a home inspection, followed by concerns of house settling, recommendations prior to finishing a basement and most recently a concern over a front stoop. I found his thoroughness, Information and recommendations to be very helpful in understanding options for repairs, and answers to concerns that allowed me to make good decisions that I have always felt were right. I have tremendous respect for his integrity and know I can call him anytime for advice.
Pretty expensive for what was completed. General basic inspection of home. Didn't seem interested in my concerns. Report provided lots of pages, but not what I really needed. I will be incurring another expense for constructional defects to be verified. Waste of my money.
Mark was professional, courteous, and helpful with the issues regarding my foundation. He determined that my concerns were unwarranted, and I do not need significant work done. He outlined several minor issues to watch and correct to prevent major issues. We discussed existing conditions, and likely sources for previous problems. The written report was abbreviated, but covered the points we had discussed. Some of his comments were in response to questions he had asked me, but I am not a construction expert. I expected him to verify my responses. However, the information was useful and reasonable.
Mark provided me with a number of good pointers that will save me a considerable amount of money during our remodeling efforts. Our old house has a very unusual foundation and potential drainage problems, and it was worth it to pay for an additional inspection and consultation on how to take care of it. I dinged him a little on communication because there was a snafu in getting the final written report delivered.
A little more expensive than some of the competitors in the area, but they were able to perform the inspection on short notice, whereas everyone else was booked. Inspection was very thorough, and performed by a certified engineer. I was impressed by the 20 page detailed report that followed the inspection, and I would recommend these folks to anyone.
