I had a fantastic experience with Comfenergy and would recommend them to anyone who needs insulation and attic sealing work. Our Consultant Carl was informative, thorough, and made suggestions based on what I wanted to improve with some hot and cold spots in our house, as well as provided reasonable ROI estimates to help me determine which fixes were appropriate. He did not try to pressure me into a sale, and even did a few minor tweaks to our HVAC settings during the consultation that had an immediate positive effect. Team Lead Robert and the rest of the installation crew were efficient, professional, and the quality of the work was stellar. This was one of the least disruptive home projects I've had done and after they cleaned up there was zero debris or dust in their work area. I did have one question about our final invoice, and when calling the office I had the pleasure of speaking with Christine. She was extremely polite and helped me out right away. Very well run company and I look forward to seeing the attic improvements pay off! We can already feel the house is more evenly conditioned and expect to see noticeably lower energy costs.

Response from Company:

Thank you so much for the great feedback on our team. Although we are one business, we have several different groups within that help make a home project come to life. It looks like you mentioned each one! We hope you are able to enjoy your improved home comfort and lower energy bills for years to come. Thanks again for giving us an opportunity to help with your home project.

Amazing Service by COMFenergy team!!! We are really happy with the service provided by The team leader Melvin and his team. They were efficient and very clean throughout the process of removing old fiberglass insulation and installing cellulose insulation. Our attic looks amazing! We highly recommend this company to give you not only peace of mind , but a healthier and more efficient home.

We had Confenergy blow insulation into our attic and it really has made a difference in keeping the heat out in the summer and in through the winter. Their team came in and sealed all gaps, covered all ducts, and blew in a thick blanket of insulation that has settled and compacted over the years to improve the barrier.

Response from Company:

Thank you for the great feedback and review. We love to hear when our clients can feel and see the results of the projects we get to work on.

A total disaster. An inexperienced, untrained crew created more issues than I had before they began their work. My goal was to increase comfort levels in my senior-living, one-level home built on a slab that is super cold in the winter. I hate as a senior being taken advantage of. I was very naive. I have spent thousands and now am having to throw more good money after bad to try and make my home comfortable to live in. It is so bad; I am ready to sell! And I can not afford to after all I have spent, without taking a loss on the sale. They dense packed my walls and now I am colder; in the process, they removed the flashing above my windows which now leak. I had to hire a window installer to replace the flashing that their incompetent crew removed. They failed to put back the siding properly, so it was hanging off my house. Once again, I had to hire a handy man to refasten the siding the crew removed while dense packing. And the dense packing was useless as it did not enter the cavities that already had batt insulation. While spray foaming triangle boxes, boots, and plenum, they sealed off all my dampers resulting in zero air flow. They reluctantly came back and had to dig out the dampers that they had foamed over. In fact, they over-foamed at junction boxes, boots, and plenum so that HVAC techs could not even tune my system. There is 2 feet of foam, yet hot air is rushing out of the flexible ducts that were not sealed properly. Yet there remain gaps on my boxes, boots, and plenum. Just today, a HVAC tech walked me around the attic, and I could feel the hot air rushing into my attic at the junctions, boxes, boots, and plenums that are all wide open; that I paid to have sealed. I almost threw up; I am heating my attic! And the tech said it looks like a dog was in my attic as the Comfenergy crews failed to put back my blown-in fiberglass insulation they removed when trying to foam, so there is no insulation at the boxes and boots. They were simply careless and failed to rake it back and even out my insulation resulting in further cold spots I did not have. In short, I now will have to hire another company to blow in more insulation and make sure it is even, so I do not have cold/hot spots. Additionally, they left the lights on in the attic, did not replace the attic access foam barrier, and failed to seal the major penetrations including light cans/recessed lights and supply vents I paid for. Next came the bathroom exhaust fans; they were installed improperly and did not vent because the outside flaps remained closed, while inside a cold draft came in my bathroom because the foam sealing, I paid for was not done properly. So now both my bathrooms are drafty. They were cold; now they are cold AND drafty. The HVAC tech today remarked he felt badly that I have two or more space heaters in every room, including the bathrooms! I strongly recommend carefully watching the crew if you ever choose to allow them to do any work for you. I trusted them. And I regret that. I was naive. I was cold. Rather I am still cold! I trusted their salesperson. The crew that did mine were either let go or quit. In fact, one of them still calls seeking to do side work. I politely declined. I suggest you do the same and seek a competent company that you can trust, does the work you paid for properly, and does not damage your home.

I am so impressed with Comfenergy. The sales rep explained why we only needed to improve the insulation at the top of our unfinished basement walls, not the whole thing as another company recommended. So it was considerably less money than we thought we’d need to do the job. Brent and his assistant arrived on time to do the work and were so quiet that we weren’t inconvenienced in any way. I definitely recommend this company.

Response from Company:

Tracy, Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure getting a chance to meet with you and help resolve your concerns. Stephen - Comfenergy

From initial contact with their sales department we've had a great experience, Corey did an excellent job of taking pictures and showing the problems in our attic. Their level of communication from emails to phone calls was precisely correct by contacting me when needed and not too much with pictures detailing each solution and its associated cost. On the first work day their crew called ahead of time, arrived promptly and came prepared with masks, plastic sheeting, full body outfits and cloth covering for the stairs. In just over 6 hours they had cleaned up the entire attic removing bad sub-floor and other insulation, laid out the foundation for building a large deck space and placed part of the first layer of materials down. They also sealed the attic door along with some of the air vents and ceiling fans. They completed insulating my front porch overhang and cleaned up all of their mess very well. Painters tape was used on corners where they weâ re most likely to bump into it for protection and plastic sheeting was setup precisely where needed to keep dust off of our hallway things next to the attic entrance. Overall it was a great first day and they even spotted an issue from a previous vendor who failed to properly connect some of their duct work together (which was the original cause of my daughterâ s room temperature being so hard to control the temperature and not easy to spot). The only complaint I have is that while I fully expected the need to finish our attic sub-floor, remaining layers of TruSoftTM Cellulose on the main floor and encapsulate the duct lines with Polyurethane Spray Foam all before finishing with blown-in insulation, they left a key piece incomplete. When leaving they left the duct work leading from our main trunk line to my daughterâ s room off. This left a hole in the main trunk line reducing heat in all upstairs rooms but most important is that nothing was connected to my daughterâ s room. So around 6:00am she woke up coughing as we noticed the upstairs was around 56 degrees. Overall a simple heads up would have solved everything as we have space heaters, however I did not look into the attic when they left so thatâ s my fault for not knowing a key piece of the duct line was missing. Based on the overall work complete I would still very much recommend them as Robert (onsite team lead) was very good at communicating and the crew weâ re all quite friendly. Their work will last for the lifetime of my house and has already added value to the sale price. In the end they made a really nice attic deck leaving me with plenty of useable storage space. While this is not the cheapest company, the quality and knowledge that I never need to worry about my attic again is certainly worth it.

Professional, timely and experts at home comfort remediations. Ben was a pleasure to work with and quickly became a trusted advisor. The install was under a pork and deck and they did a superb job. The porch is so much more comfortable on these 46 degree mornings. Highly recommend them - you will thank yourself every morning
