Repair Drywall

Arnoldo and his team (Aldo, Oscar, Beto, Pablo, and Sandra) did a great job on my ceiling drywall crack repair and paint projects. They did the project in 2 days over a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and for a great price. I was under a tight time deadline and they got the job done on time, on budget, and did it right! I am happy with the work they did and wouldn't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to family and friends. Arnoldo is professional, honest, and friendly and stays true to his word. Thanks!

Mr. Arnaldo is a very friendly man,he is very professional,he and his staff come in and get the job done in a way that leaves you comfortable in knowing that the job was done right the first time.I would hire them again,and not hesitate to refer them to others.

The man had good reviews when i hired him and he was a personable young man, but he over charged me for the work he did and his crew was drinking on the job. he did 7 hrs of work for $2000 and a few hundred in material. He gave me the impression the work would be over a couple of days. Didnt even bother to clean up after the job. Im sure hes laughing all the way to the bank. Im considering hiring a lawyer.

The estimate was $2600, built 2 1/2 car garage ceiling built all the ceiling with 2x4 studs drywall and taping he called me, and he decided **no taping**. I told him $2000 just to do framing and drywall, we finish in one day, both the framing and drywall with 3 guys that l that to pay from that $2000. 3 guys, labor and materials. l made only $500, and we didn't drink. l got my guys some food and water, some Gatorade also, we cleaned very well. When we finished he was really happy and he paid me. After three hours he texted me, and he asked me for the money back, I explained to the guy how much money l made with labor and materials, l did call.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
