Terrible experience. Our project was unimportant to the company. Cut corners when we weren't home to see the work. Brought heavy equipment when the yard was soft and caused a lot of damage to our and my neighbor's yards. Partially trimmed trees and left all the clippings on the ground. Installed broken pavers. Built a new retaining wall but poorly designed (there is a piece of black metal placed in the design near the house foundation to keep the rocks from falling out). Planted new bushes/shrubs and the roots were above the ground. Part of the scope was to remove old rock and weed blocker and bring in new dirt. Didn't do any of this and installed new weed fabric over old dirt, rock and weed blocker and then put in new rocks. My wife wanted to know why he installed the rock BEFORE he put the plant material in, he replied, "I have a special tool to do that." The special tool was a post hole digger and a shovel that he and a co-worker used when they came by a QUICKLY to install the $250 shrubs/bushes that we purchased. The reason that the tree trimmings were left on the ground was that "he [Carter] had to go to another job and he didn't know that his helper had done this." Oh, and far as installing the broken pavers, the reason for that was "one of my guys must have stepped on them." I was installing lights in the project areas which allowed me to notice all the shortcuts that Carter took with our project. We were so frustrated with him that even though a large segment of our front yard was to have been re-seeded by him in September after the heavy equipment tore the yard up, I asked him not to come back and we negotiated a materials only payment for his work. I am going to need to hire someone else to re-work the retaining wall, restore the grass that was lost and replant a number of the shrubs/roses because they are dying due to the heat and shallowness of how the shrubs were planted. I discussed all these items with Carter and specifically pointed out how his attention-to-detail was non-existent on our job as well attempting to get him to understand that our project was the most important one that he was going to do because it was ours. He still didn't improve his work quality which left us no choice but to ask him to not return and complete additional work on our project. He initially quoted a project completion timeframe of two days. It took him three weeks to complete the work that he provided. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed with the outcome of this project. I have photos to support all of the examples that I have referenced here.

He has mowed our lawn several times. I love the stripes and trimming he does to our lawn. Also the lawn looks very plush because of the treatments he provides in the spring and fall.
