Jason constantly communicated with me throughout the entire process. He was honest and very willing to work with me on the cost. Great job and great person! Rare to find these days.

Would recommend highly. Jason and his crew worked very hard. It started raining and they had to come back weeks later but the job was finished to my satisfaction.

This young man did a very good job he even went above and beyond what he said he would do in cutting the pieces smaller so I can manage them better. His price was very fair. He was very good at communicating and being on time even before expected which was fine with me too. I will recommend him and probably use him for other projects. So far so good. Machine failure prevented compaction completion, C&J promised to return to smooth out asphalt.

He came on the designated day for an estimate and I walked him around the house to indicate what should be done. He returned another day to do the job but did not complete it. I did walk around the house to see if the job had been finished. I pointed out at that time that some dead branches on one of the trees had not been done but he said that his uncle who was sitting in my backyard swing would do that. That did not happen. I paid him, the owner, before he left that day. I realized later that day that I had not noticed that the hedge had not been trimmed and another tree branch over the swing had not been done. I emailed him. I called and his wife said that she would call him. I did not hear back so I called him and he said that he was out of town for a few days. I requested that he call me the following week. He did and we scheduled a day for the following week. He was a no show. I am left with an unfinished job with branches from some bushes and trees piled up on my curb which were not put in piles. It is quite obvious that he does not intend to do the right thing so I will add his name to my list of Do Not Call back again and of course, I will not refer him to anyone I know. Perhaps my being a senior citizen and a widow had something to do with the way he behaved.

Did a great job

This company worked through pouring rain in order to complete my project! The men did an excellent job.

My wife and I went on Home Advisor and searched for a company in the area to remove a large Chinese Tallow or **Popcorn Tree** from my neighbors backyard. My neighbor and I share a backyard privacy fence and this tree was growing right on the property line along the fence dumping a major portion of its annual florals into my yard and pool from the overhanging branches. It just got to be too big and was growing too fast to keep up with annual pruning so I asked the neighbor if I could pay to have it cut down and she agreed. Jason, owner of C and J Asphalt Resurfacing and Tree Service, responded to the Home Advisor alert and came out to the house, looked over the work that needed to be done, and after explaining his process and getting my neighbors permission to proceed, gave me a quote that we agreed to. The work required cutting down and disposing of 1 x large Chinese Tallow tree. Jason and his crew arrived at my neighbors house on the morning of Tuesday, March 16, 2021, and got straight to work. They completed the work in approximately 4 hours -which was to be expected given the size of the tree and its proximity to surrounding houses and properties. They even trimmed some of my neighbors bushes next to the tree as a courtesy. Surprisingly, after they cut the tree down, instead of loading up all of the tree debris into a truck or trailer and hauling the debris to the local dump as was agreed to, Jason decided to cut the tree up and put most of the debris in my neighbors front yard at the street and the remaining portion of debris in front of my house at the street. When I got back from my business trip and saw first hand what Jason and his company had done, I contacted him and asked why he did this and he lied and said that he called and arranged for the city or county to pickup the debris on Thursday, March 26 the following week or no later than Thursday, April 1 or just two weeks after the tree was cut down. Jason said he decided to split the debris pile into two so that the company contracted out by the county, in this case Waste Pro of Santa Rosa County, would pick up the debris without charging extra instead of the added time, effort, and expense of disposing of it himself. In reality, the call to Waste Pro was never made. After weeks of repeated calls and text messages trying to get Jason and his company to honor his agreement and remove the tree debris from my neighbors and my front yard, and after repeated promises that he would take care of it or do it himself, he stopped responding and we ended up having to pay an additional $500 to have a different contractor finish the job and remove the tree debris. Its now Tuesday, May 4th. Its been 50 days today and while the tree debris has been picked up from in front of my house, we are still waiting for the third party contractor we hired to pick up the debris from in front of my neighbors. This should have never happened. C and J should have removed the tree debris the day they cut the tree down. If you are considering hiring C and J Asphalt Restoration and Tree Service, you need to check your calendar and see how much of your valuable time you are willing to give up waiting on Jason and his crew to finish the job they agreed to, because the only time Jason and his company, C and J Asphalt Restoration and Tree Service, seems to value the most, is his own!
