Had to fight with the contractor to get irrigation set as we wanted. They thought water being thrown over our fence was ok instead of placing sprinkler heads as initially discussed. They didnâ t purchase items for project ahead of time and we had to reschedule. Felt like we were working for them. Buried sprinkle heads with rock and are still adjustable them. They failed to pack soil leading to low areas. During cleanup they dump topsoil all over the place to include existing lawn. They put down hardly any seed and left piles of dirt and rock everywhere. There was dirt and debris all over the yard to include on the house and filled crawl space vents. They bullied and yelled at my wife to get final payment when I was gone. When trying to contact contractor he failed to answer for almost a week. At that point I had cleaned up and didnâ t want him back on my property. Once I spoke with him he was only worried about a bad review versus trying to help fix any issues or even refunding any money for not completing the job as prescribed. He stated all was done as asked and properly cleaned even though he buried 3 of 4 valves with topsoil and minimal seed. He failed to replace pavers to my deck as he said he wasnâ t good at it and if I wanted it done right I should do it. Contractor was generally nice but totally failed to perform as he stated. I would not recommend to anyone as he took shortcuts on everything. Pretty much wish I had gone with someone else.

This project started with a bounced deposit check provided by the husband, which was discovered after beginning the work. She did pay another check the same day it was discovered. Soil was packed down upon job completion. I pointed out to her that their new puppy kept digging in the fresh soil and was informed that puppy liked to dig. When her husband asked for an additional sprinkler head to be installed, I informed them that I would do so, but the number of heads on that line would reduce water pressure. In spite of that another head was installed at their request. After project completed, I requested final payment which is typical and noted in the contract that was signed. She provided payment. There was no aggressive behavior or yelling in any fashion. The husband called and wanted to be the one to provide final payment. As he was also the one who provided the check that bounced, I wouldn't be surprised if his intention was to offer another bad check. He indicated that he found 4 rocks that should have been picked up. I offered to come pick them up. He said he already took care of it. Pavers were never any park of our contract and therefore not done by us. The grass seed was spread liberally over trenches; however, the digging of the puppy would have caused obvious displacement after we had left. Project was performed in full as per the contract with a fully operational sprinkler system with heads adjusted to water all areas. Anything outside of the contract was not completed. She was a very pleasant person to work with however there was no pleasing her husband in any way in spite of many attempts to make him happy. I have photo evidence of the completed project showing smooth soil with grass seed over trenched areas.
