I got bids from a *large* number of installers and Red Mountain gave me the best equipment for the price and did a nice job of it despite a few early teething problems that were resolved quickly and competently. But note that the going price in this area for heat pumps is significantly higher than in other areas of the country - regardless of which installer I let bid on my home. In my opinion, given energy price trends, the environmental impact of heating with gas, and having existing solar power on my home, the benefits of a heat pump outweighs the high price in this area, but YMMV. Think thru your position re: BayREN rebates and the recent federal Inflation Reduction Act rebates carefully to make sure you qualify.
