Write a ReviewDid a great job Repairing the roof on my shed? We'll be using them again To fix my front porch
After scheduling & no showing, owner offered a fair free quote for roof & gutter repair. We rescheduled roof & gutter repair & are pleased with the work that was completed. We requested a free quote for gutter & downspout cleaning & house painting & were provided a fair quote, as well. We would recommend Blair Services.
Very attentive to customer needs and input. They have the agility to perform all types of work.
The original quote went up in price twice, which may have been justified, but then well into the work I was told he could not make the steps in the fashion he originally said he could. The alternate is ok, but not what I wanted.
After wanting him here at 9am, provider continued to tell me he would be here between 9 and 10am every day, yet he was always chronically late every day arriving at 1130am. In addition provider sabbataged my job by trying to install joist support brackets for a 2×4 instead of using brackets for a 2×7" joist, which is out of compliance with OSHA mandates because the joist supports were only wrapping the bottom 50% of each joist. In the end he STILL never installed the right 7" joist supports, but installed 6" joist supports instead ! He further FAILED to secure his work when he left for the day, a very heavy treated unsecured 2"×7"×10 foot long joist, causing the home occupant to fall through the deck 10 to 12 feet down and land on a patio full of scrap wood and stacked lumber that I had told him that I wanted CLEANED UP at the end of the day, in which case he FAILED to clean up like I asked him to do ! The joist in question was missing ALL of its FIFTEEN SCREWS, and had OSHA seen this failure to secure a overhead weight bearing load such as this, and fines would have flown left and right for such a negligent structural failure ! In ending of that, I had sustained 7 injuries from the fall; (on my back, my nose, both shin's, and both feet). In addition he also failed to secure all 8 joists to the outside deck frame (having only used ONE screw for each joist INSTEAD OF 3 SCREWS for each joist, thereby failing to secure SIXTEEN additional screws into 8 joists) which I have already installed. All and all, (1) installing the wrong sized joist supports, (2), leaving a heavy overhead weight load unsecured, (to the point of having facilitated a series of injuries), and (3) and having failed to secure a additional 16 screws into 8 joists are all very SERIOUS safety violations !
