I have worked with Bret on several home renovations. He is an experienced contractor and realtor. We live in an older home and Bret recently renovated our main living floor. He removed an old wooden divider and repaired the wall. He and Craig installed new can lights throughout the living room, kitchen, and dining room areas. They painted and installed new baseboards. They also removed tile flooring and installed luxury vinyl plank flooring which looks amazing. What I most admire about working with Bret is his honesty and work ethic. He arrives on time, works hard, and truly cares about his customers. He is very knowledgeable and offers wonderful suggestions. He is detail oriented and this is reflected in the quality of his work. Brett kept me updated on the work, time frame, and costs. Every evening, he and Craig would carefully clean the work area so there were minimal disturbance to our household routine. The final results are stunning. Bret and Craig did an amazing job!

I cannot figure out how they have such high reviews. You do not want to hire them. Brett is super awkward, a horrible communicator and downright rude. He seemed to work better when communicating with my husband which leads me to believe he has a problem with women. From the moment he showed up, he was complaining that he doesn't make enough money from these jobs and that being a part of Home Advisor is a rip off for him. (Not a great first impression.) We hired him to do some drywall patching, install attic access from the garage ceiling and install a range hood. He kept putting us off, saying he had other work to do and wouldnt return texts from me, but he would return my husband's texts. He finally agreed to come and do the work he bid for us. He put all sorts of construction debris in our big recycle bin (not recyclable) and there were giant globs of dried spackle hanging off the edges of our brand new pull-out kitchen garbage can inside our island. (These cabinets were not inexpensive.) After his work was done, he left piles of drywall dust after sanding different areas throughout the house and did not clean up after himself. There were chunks of spackle dried onto our crown molding, the kitchen floor and rug was disgustingly dirty from dust and fiberglass insulation, and the garage floor was covered in chunks of drywall and debris. I assumed that a professional would clean up after himself, but this was not the case here. When I came home after work and found the state he had left things, I texted him asking him to come back and clean up. He arrived the next morning stating that he'd "clean the whole house if I wanted him to, but that he gets paid hourly" and that he was on the clock. As I walked him through the issues I had, he kept saying "I don't see why this is such an issue for you." He is horribly unprofessional, and I wouldn't hire him again if you paid me. **Update**- We did have the pleasure of Preston Bigler (Brett's son) helping us with finishing the drywall ceiling in our laundry room. He is super nice, friendly, has incredible attention to detail, and wants to make sure you're happy with the work first and foremost. He's an A+ guy with an A+ work ethic.
