More Then Just Construction

We know the importance of doing it right the first time. Being the 2nd generation of a family construction company for over 40 yrs we have seen a lot of different types of projects on homes and buildings both residential and commercial. We are no longer doing large scale additions that really got us started -as time went on we have found niche opportunities focused within our customers homes and businesses -bathrooms, kitchens, decks, windows, doors, trim, storm damage, siding/roof repair, handicap access, Building maintenance, clean outs/organizing and a real need for quality handyman services from a trusted professionals for just about any remodel need, even consultations are now available if you just need help with a project you tried to tackle your self and just need a few hours of guidance- we can do that. Formally Pagodin Custom Construction has been re named and rebranded to branch out and offer Building Solutions with top Performance to meet customer needs.

I chose to work in this industry because I was born into it, went to college tried out some new career choices only to learn how much i actually love my job helping people enjoy their personal spaces and maintaining accessibility to live how they want to live..

Remodel a Bathroom

We hired Chris to take a 1/2 bathroom and a laundry room area and make it a full bath for our recently handicapped father. Chris came with a great deal of knowledge and ideas to make the project work! He was excellent to work with, helpful, timely and professional. The final outcome is better than we could imagined!

Absolutely the BEST!! Workmanship is done to perfection in every way. Very honest, dependable and reliable. His cleaning during and after working is wonderful. He has completed numerous jobs here over the past 15 years and each job has been excellent!

Remodel a Bathroom

The men where on time starting and finishing the project. They where extremely clean, they constantly vacuumed the area and tarped everything and nothing was damaged during the renovation. They plumber and electrician that they used where great, Chris coordinated everything. I had no problems passing inspections, and we are thrilled with the workmanship. From start to finish, Chris and crew where fantastic. Price point, they where right in the middle, but we selected based on competency not just price and I am glad we did. There where several really strange issues that arose with the structure that were unable to be seen during the evaluation. They took care of the issue, and everything came out fantastic. We had no price gouging surprise bills at the end either. I can't compliment the service we received enough, I will continue to use Building Performance Solutions with any future work we do. --RLC

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
