I'm delighted to express my utmost satisfaction with Black River Builders. The installation of sunlight windows in my home was not only incredibly efficient but also showcased an unparalleled level of quality. We are very pleased with the covered porch John, Bradley and Joel built for us. It looks like it has always been a part of the house. The final bill was pretty much what John originally estimated (which has been rare in my experience) and worth every penny. The quality of their work is top notch. Their work ethic and professionalism is impressive. We will be hiring them again.

Black River Builders did a very lovely back porch for me. There were delays and issues, however they were very good at letting me know what was going on and why there were delays. I appreciated the transparency. The finished product was beautiful. A few months later one of the posts cracked in a weird spiral, when I reached out to ask if they could fix it and how much it would cost me. They told me that it was under warranty and had it fixed within a few weeks. I would highly recommend this company!

Black River Builders built our small home in Olympia, WA. John and his entire crew are the most professional, kind and polite people we have ever worked with. The whole team has integrity. They understood our vision, and respected our wishes. They are very good listeners, and put quality first in everything they did on our build. We were fortunate to contract with them during a very busy time in the construction industry. We turned away other contractors that we felt were not a good fit, and are so happy we did. We will use Black River Builders for any future projects we have. We can't recommend their services highly enough.

I contracted with Black River Builders to build me a 32x50 garage/shop. I had no garage; I had a shop that I couldn't do anything in. It was bursting at the seams for space with equipment, materials and misc. I drew my vision of what I wanted on a piece of paper; John Martin made some immediate suggestions regarding size, man doors, and windows. John and I began talking in mid February, by mid March the slab was poured and then about May 29th the project was 99% complete. John has a fantastic crew they are polite, know their business, kept me well informed, answered any question I had. John was always available via cell phone, email or on the job. He responded quickly to all inquiries. He was easy to work with throughout the whole project. If he said he would do something you can guarantee it would get done. He takes pride in doing first class work and he is as honest as the day is long. You won't find a better contractor in this area, big or small John Martin and his crew can do it all! John is a very easy going guy I liked him when I first met him, he was timely, any commitments he made he kept, he was flexible. What do I think of John’s work, it was outstanding! I'm sorry I didn't have him build this shop/garage years ago it came out great. I’m really proud of the facility I planned; John brought my vision to fruition. There are so many custom touches in this building it came out better than I envisioned. I’ll never have to scrape ice off my windows again either! The reason I say that is because this past winter, I was scraping ice off my vehicle window in the cold and asked myself why am I doing this?! That’s when I got the idea for the garage/shop. I haven’t had my vehicles under cover for over 35 years that I’ve lived here, now I will.

John did an excellent job and installing a new roof on my house! His crew took care of everything from tear off to clean up. John himself took extra care to ensure the sheeting and valleys were prepared before installing shingles. John went the extra mile to install drip edge, sealing skylights and etc, and even fix up some trim on the back side of the house. When living in the PNW it is a peace of mind to have someone like his crew making sure every detail is done right. Thanks to John and the boys, they'll be no leaks to worry about this winter!!!!!

Arrived on time and completed projected faster then estimated.
