It seems in SW Florida there must be at least 1 million heating and air conditioning contractors. Most of them are probably pretty good. I write to tell you of one that is more than pretty good, in fact, they are excellent. We store our cars and about half of our worldly possessions in our garage during the summer while we are up north spoiling our granddaughters. We have a thermometer and humidity gauge in the garage. The guys who watches our house told us that some July and August days the heat approaches 110 degrees and the humidity is outrageous. I said no kidding as I replaced the trickle chargers for the 9th consecutive year and the car batteries for at least the second time. We decided to install a split unit air conditioner in the garage. Several a/c companies presented what they would do for us. One stood out. The price was really, really good and the specifications for the installation were spot on. From adding the ceiling insulation to the electrical work to the outside unit installation (on a hurricane pad, hurricane clamps, pipe and wiring covers) they were really good. Put in writing what they were going to do and actually did it. How original for a contractor. The companyâ Benitez Cooling & Heating, LLC. They completed the installationâ soup to nutsâ in a about 6-hours, including cleaning up after themselves. After a couple of weeks, the system is working well; 80 degrees and 45% humidity. I highly recommend them.
