$25,000 contract to pave and seal roadway at my ranch. Multiple broken promises, over a period of more than a year, to repair a section that failed. Statute of limitations prevents a lawsuit. They promised over and over to "make it right" and I made the mistake of letting the statute run out.

Timely and didn't say they were finished until I inspected and was Happy..I worked for the state for 30 years in asphalt these men are fair and do great work

I felt like I was being taken advantage of. I got a quote from another company the next day that was almost half what I paid A to Z, but I had already committed verbally. I felt like I was being hurried to make a decision by a smooth talking guy who said they had the asphalt on the truck and they weren't going to need it for their current job. I should have checked on their reputation before hiring them but didn't. They offered it to me at a 'discount' and when I asked them how much he was throwing around cubic yards at a certain depth and I said that must cost between $=== and $---. He used the higher price that I had thrown out. That's what they quoted then! The job looks ok. They did it the very next day which was convenient. But when I got there to pay them and had made the check out to A to Z I was told to also put the name of the guy I spoke with about the job. I wonder if he ever let A to Z know that he had cashed the check instead of the company! My bank called me asking if that was an acceptable check since I had written his name after A to Z. I just felt like something was shady. I should not have been pressured into deciding on the spur of the moment without getting other estimates. What's done is done. I hope the asphalt holds up for 15-20 years like I was told.
