Reviews
Write a ReviewI have absolutely no complaints. Ed is friendly, hardworking, and communicated very well.
Repaired my chimney seamlessly. Looks good as new. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of chimney repair.
Ed was very prompt to call me back and scheduled a meeting for the free estimate. He gave a good solution to the problem with full experiences and knowledge he gained over 40 years. Very trustworthy and friendly professional with a budget price.
Great guy! Ed called me back even before I got off of Home Advisors website! He came out the next day & gave me an estimate. My only complaint was the service he uses to pay. HeÂ’s getting charged way to much to use the point of sale app. on his phone. I suggested square cash to him. I will use him again if I ever need any work done on my chimney!
Ed responded quickly to my request for estimate on chimney flashing work and returned the following week to do the work. I thought the price was a little high for less than an hour's work, but I assumed that small jobs may not be worth the contractor's time so bid a little higher. I questioned the work as the flashing had sharp angular exposed edges that didn't appear very finished, and the technique looked kind of sloppy. He insisted this was a standard method for extending flashing. I also had a problem with his lack of prep before the work and poor cleanup afterward. He scratched my new gutter when placing his ladder and left chalky residue on the roof around the chimney, and I had to have him return twice to finish the cleanup. I think most mess could have been prevented by putting down tarps prior to the work. I also had him return a third time to correct the sharp edges of the exposed flashing, on the recommendation of another professional. I do give him credit for returning 3 times and making an attempt to provide a more finished product. He is a very nice person, but we did not seem in agreement re: the project.
First rate experience. Ed and his son Josh are old world craftsman you just don't find any more. I wanted real river stone on my fireplace. Not easy to source. Watching Josh is like watching a chef work. Way too entertaining!! They work hard to make sure each stone is important. To build the arch with vertical stones they actually went to the river after work to choose the perfect size and color. They never complained about the gnarly piece of reclaimed wood I brought them for the mantel. They just made it work. These are guys you can leave at your house and go to work knowing it is going to be some serious eye candy when you arrive home. To be honest I felt their prices were quite low based on the work that went into this fireplace. It is truly a glorious piece of art. I will be calling them to do another project soon!
Ed with Anson Masonry responded quickly and showed up on time. Very profess and did quality work at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend .
He's been in the business 40 years, very knowledgeable, and did excellent work. I will be hiring him for another job very soon.
Good fast on time
