Write a ReviewDerrick Ross charged me $5,800; mind you, I found out later that this was labor only to replace ALL of the siding at my house, which was our verbal agreement. He had a guy come out and take all the measurements and note all of the things I would need to purchase. Derrick Ross volunteered to pick up the stuff on his trailer. Then he tells me that I need more paint, more siding, etc. I asked if he was going to pick it up. He said they would charge me $200. I told him you are the contractor, you have the equipment to pick up the stuff, and why should I have to pay you $200 for your guy not telling me the proper amount of stuff I needed when you agreed to pick it up the first time? At this point, I just wanted them to be finished. They picked up the additional equipment. He then told me I needed more paint, so I had to go purchase more. When I realized they were not replacing all of the siding, I brought it to his attention so maybe he would consider adjusting the price. He started to give me BS, so I just said, Okay, whatever. After the job was finished, I realized my back door was not closing properly after they replaced the rotten wood around the storm door. Then I noticed the framing on the inside of the door was cracked. I informed him of that. He came to look at it. I called my son to see if he was home so Derrick could come by, and I told him that Derrick Ross was going to try to give excuses as to why they were not responsible. I knew he was going to do it after dealing with him on other issues with this job. I was not home, and my son told me that he was saying that there was no way they could have done it. I told him to explain to me how it happened if no one else had worked on the house but them. He went on to give me excuses as to why there was NO WAY they could have done it. He said he would have someone come and adjust my door. I got upset with him because I paid exactly what he charged, even though he did not do the work that he said they would do. I told him, You know what? You do not even have to send anyone to adjust the door because I will get someone else to fix it. Do not do business with him because he is shady. I will not do business with him again, and I DO NOT recommend him to anyone.
If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible company, took my money, no work done, poor communication. I have been trying to get a refund at this point with no luck. This business address he is using is an abandoned building with a vacant lot next to it. He's not professional enough no communication after payment job not done
Derrick Ross was friendly, professional and courteous when he came to give the estimate for my repair. Miguel V. and Robert H. arrived promptly for the repair work. They took special care to protect my furniture and floor from any damage as they repaired the beam in the vaulted ceiling of my den. They repaired the crack and repainted the beam. They carefully totally cleaned up their work area and put the furniture back in place. My vaulted ceiling beam looks great! I will happily call them again for any other work. And I highly recommend the quality of their work.
