Write a ReviewI cannot think of one negative thing to say about our moving experience with Advanced. Excellent customer service. I got texts, I got emails, I got phone calls, all leading up to our move. They somehow new that I need lots of reminders. I really do. Letâ s face it, moving is just plain horrible. These guys made it easy. Our movers were to arrive between 8 and 10 am. They were there at 8:15. All our furniture was expertly wrapped, handled with care and arrived at our new home unharmed. Even the contents of our boxes, that we packed, arrived without any mishaps. They are the best.
Hardworking and friendly crew . They handled all furniture with care and never slowed down or took a break until the job was done. The movers clearly took pride in there work and I will recommend Advanced Movers to anyone I know who is moving.

I only gave .5 stars at I could not go lower :| By far the worst experience I have ever had - of dealing with any moving/storage company -- their modus operandi or their standard operating procedure seems to be: 1. Lowball their quote to entice gullible clients (me included) 2. Get all the stuff into their warehouse 3. Extort money by changing the price quote claiming that they are having labor issues, etc. (this is especially true for out-of-state moves) I had a pleasant experience with their booking agent - Maria R who was helpful in getting me the quote after which my nightmare began with Advanced Moving and Storage.. Tyler L their Operations Manager was highly unprofessional and hostile to interact with as they took all my stuff and changed the price quote -- A classic bait and switch policy... Even though I had paid the quoted amount, they eventually decided to deny service and was given an ultimatum to take away my stuff from their warehouse and held my stuff as collateral. (when I had already moved out of state) Overall a disappointing and painful experience...(Not sure if this is how these people operate - but that is no way to treat a customer) I hope Advanced Moving and; storage is better than this and get their act together. If you are looking for peace of mind and not just saving $$, I would steer away from these folks (wish I would read such a review prior to booking mine)
Crew was great
The initial communications were handled very well. The movers did a good job. My issue was the communications the day of the move. The window of the move was from 12pm to 2pm. They did not come until 3:30pm. We had a move from the burbs to downtown and had a window of time for an elevator in the city. My issue was nobody in the office the day of the move gave me any updates on delays or ETA. I had to be the one to call them. Some calls were not returned and it was difficult to get any details or answers.
Moved only a bedroom set and tightened furniture too tightly in truck. Broke the leg of my standing mirror and the top molding on my armoire.
As I found out too late, this company is not one you ever - EVER - want to hire. Their estimator bids low to lure you in, and then when they have your belongings locked in their trucks, they give you a higher price. If you refuse or ask to speak with a manager, no one will speak to you and they threaten to lock up all your possessions in their warehouse until you agree to their ransom. If there are problems, they are very slow to respond and preoccupied with their profits vs the nightmare they have inflicted upon you and your loved ones. In my case, they broke a leg off a home theater cabinet, broke a leg off a nightstand, and broke a leg off and bent metal sections on the bottom of an expensive, sturdy refrigerator. They also scratched a range of items and damaged walls, in some cases denting and cutting through drywall. Their crew drank beer during the job and sent my son to pick food up for them at McDonald. The incompetent crew was overwhelmed with moving items that other crews figure out quickly, and did not have the physical strength to move items other movers could. The damage is into the thousands of dollars and management does not want to hear it. All they do is refer calls to junior people. The owner just cares about money. Their entire process is set up to stick it to customers and strip them of any rights or recourse. Other than the deposit, the move can only be paid for with cash, a money order or a cashier check. You do not find out the real price until they have your property held hostage. When they damage your prized possessions, they will try to convince you to have it repaired by someone with paint, markers, quick trying compounds and other gimmicks that are far from the condition it was in before they touched it. The way their crews operate is inefficient, time consuming and logic defying and as the customer, you end up footing the bill.
