Breaking up a household after 50 years. Three different destinations were within estimate but I had disposed of some furniture and bedding after the estimate so Iâ m not sure how it would have worked out otherwise. Bad weather- cold and snow. They worked hard and long with noticeable damage. Pleasant to work with from estimate to move
They were great. The move was to a storage unit and the even rearranged things in the unit to make it all fit. The showed up on time and gave me progress updates while they were on their way.

Super easy to work with!
Our team did a wonderful job protecting our furniture and moving at a quick pace! They finished a half hour early and came back to refund me some money. Of all the moving companies I researched I was scared I was going to get scammed. These guys were so genuine on the job and the customer service lady before the move was very helpful as well. Would recommend for any Chicago to Chicago move!
Terrible experience with the movers. Only one of the guys actually worked. The other 2 had an attitude along with their manager. The job went way over so had to pay way more than I expected to pay out or they wouldnâ t take my belongings off. There was ashes from the weed they were smoking in the bathroom. Over all just terrible service. Minus the one employee who actually wanted to work.
My experience with Advanced Moving and Storage has been beyond stressful. They quoted me one price (in writing), I completed the deposit in August. They notify me after the scheduled delivery date (3 months later and several conversations afterwards) that the delivery price is going up by hundreds of dollars (after they have picked up my items and stored them in their facility for months). They have missed 3 delivery timeframes. The first delivery window was between 11/6/20 - 11/19/20. I had to call them on 11/17 to find out my household items would not be delivered. The next delivery date provided was 11/23. The third delivery date was 11/24. The current delivery date is 12/3. Representatives from AMS have changed the delivery date several times. The delays in delivery meant that my family needed air mattresses, towels, bedding, blankets, and other household items. Tyler, the first AMS Manager/Owner said I could file a claim for items purchased based on the 15-day delay of my items. However, today I receive a text that delivery costs are increasing. When I followed-up via phone, I spoke with a manager at AMS that first identified himself as Jim and later as Joseph. Jim/Joseph states that he is not approving any claims for direct costs incurred by family due to the continued delivery delays. This is completely against what the first Manager said would happen. Jim/Joseph refused to listen and raised his voice several times during the call. I would not recommend utilizing Advanced Moving and Storage, their service does not meet the ratings they tout across their website and emails
