2024 basement remodel with AM Leech, including bedroom, office, bathroom, and laundry room. Adrian and Jim and entire crew were friendly, highly skilled, communicative, prompt, and honest. Easy permitting process that they took care of, and all of their sub-contractors such as electrical, plumbing, and drywall were at the same level of high standards as AM Leech. They were willing to troubleshoot, change gears as needed, and were all around responsive to our needs. Highly recommend.

We used A M Leech Construction for our deck work because our next door neighbor had them do a perfect looking deck with a Wow factor. First Adrian came with color samples and we chose our color of Trex. Then he measured everything and e mailed us the bid. Soon he sent Dan, one of his (fantastic) contractors out to begin. Dan came every day to work on the deck. He expertly placed and installed the Trex boards and used very specialized joinery and other techniques to make our deck beautiful! Dan kept on until deck was finished and it looks fantastic! The extra elements and perfection in his work gave our deck a wow factor similar to our neighbors deck that AM Leech did last year. An interesting thing happened when we went to a friend's BBQ party and saw their new Trex decking! We were spoiled with our nice decking work which is perfection and NOW we can recognize work that is not that good, not that perfect and with no WOW factor! We gazed at the Friend's BBQ Party deck (not done by AM Leech) and compared it to ours, but did not say a word. We saw so many flaws! And No fancy joinery or shapes to give that deck class like ours had. It simply was not as good a job! Adrian and Dan are highly skilled contractors and easy to work with and our deck is now as perfect as a Trex deck can possibly be! We will use them again!

TL;dr If you're remodeling, I highly recommend AM Leech and the team there. Five well-deserved stars for them, from me. I wanted to increase the livability and value of my home, but I was nervous about proceeding with a basement remodel. My old cottage had a number of interesting things that would make for a serious challenge - a weird and totally not code-compliant staircase, no sensible place to put a new private entry, a lack of level flooring, and a mix of previous "remuddling" with gosh knows what under the paint. After hearing a trusted friend - a realtor - recommend AM Leech, I contacted them and left word for Adrian, the owner. I am so very glad I did. The bid and design process was thorough, smooth, and the team communicated clearly and responded well to all my questions. Start-to-finish including final permitting was on time, on budget, and the work quality was excellent. The entire team took obvious pride in their work, and took care to make me feel comfortable with what they were doing and when, every step of the way. Hire them. I didn't regret hiring them, and I think you'll also be very pleased with their work. I'll add photos once I have them.

I hired AM Leech to convert an unfinished basement of my 1940s North Portland home into a family room, bedroom, bathroom, and utility/laundry room. The team was highly organized and professional. They did what they said they would do, at exactly the cost they had said it would be, and did high quality work. They consulted with me at every step. Adrian and others answered all questions promptly, and made revisions as needed as we moved through the project. Adrian runs his team in a very competent and organized manner, making sure everyone is on track and coordinating all the different parts of the team. He has access to a dedicated city inspector, which streamlines the permitting and inspection process. Whenever a minor problem or glitch arose, they were on it immediately and made sure everything was resolved to my satisfaction. The contracted electrician and plumbing crew were excellent and responsive as well. All were considerate of my needs as well as my neighbors while the project was going on, including adjusting the schedule when I needed the house free of construction noise for a period of several days. Members of the crew, especially Dan, spent a great deal of time and effort to ensure the framing and finish details on the walls and doors were meticulously done, and I have received many compliments from friends and relatives who have viewed the finished work. I worked closely with Dan on customized designs for a couple added projects, including a gate and stair railing, that are beautiful as well as highly functional. AM Leech was willing to be flexible with the project and they were fine with my doing some simpler parts of the work myself, including painting and flooring, which reduced the cost. I added on a number of projects at the end, including some exterior doors and work on an attached garage, and they were happy to do this work as well, and provided appropriate estimates and followed through with the same level of quality. From start to finish I was impressed with this companyâ s professionalism, excellent communication and follow-through, and the quality of the work.

The AM Leech Construction team was great. We did a complete basement finish project. The Leech team worked with us from start to finish to design and construct exactly what we wanted. They made very helpful suggestions along the way to maximize the space. Adrian's team was extremely professional and skilled. When issues came up, they were communicative and provided creative solutions. The team worked around our schedule as needed and were always available for questions. Andrian and his team re-build and replaced our steep stairway (42 stairs) and deck. We live on a very steep hill, and our house is at the bottom of a steep slope. This was no easy project, and the work was well thought out, accomplished with skill, and the result is sturdy, safe and attractive. Andrian, Jim, RJ and Dan were amazing to work with, checking at each step of the project to make sure they were meeting our needs. They even worked into the cold evenings to make sure we had access for guests on Thanksgiving! We could not be happier withe the work and with the people!

Adrian and his crew made our project incredibly smooth. Adrian was always available for a quick call or text when issues or questions came up. His crew members were very friendly and polite and it felt very comfortable having them in our home for several months. We couldn't be more happy with how the basement remodel turned out. We interviewed and received quotes from several firms, and Adrian's price was very competitive and at the same time his professionalism and quality of work was exceptional. His original schedule was very close to the how the timeline actually turned out, and the source of the biggest delay was our own indecision rather than any planning or coordination issues on his part. Adrian is friendly and straight talking. He gave me options of ways to save money and talked through design tradeoffs. We went through several iterations of the remodel design and he was very patient as we tweaked and thought through each of the options. Now we have an additional bedroom, a bathroom and a finished laundry and craftspace. I would give AM Leech the highest recommendation.

Adrian and his team did an outstanding job replacing my large wooden deck from scratch, including rebuilding the foundation that was done incorrectly over 30 years ago. Adrian, RJ, and Jim were a real pleasure to work with. They kept me well informed, consulted with me for creative solutions for several issues (like 2 doors facing the deck that were at different heights). Found siding rot that was near the deck floor, and fixed that, too. The deck is gorgeous and I'm extremely delighted with the outcome. People stop by regularly to comment on how beautiful it is. The team is talented, very skilled, and some of the nicest people I have ever met. The materials they used were top-notch. They obviously really care about quality, and it shows in their workmanship. And they made the project fun. Best construction company I've ever dealt with, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat! Love these guys!

AM Leech has a really wonderful crew! Transparent throughout the whole process, and was as painless as possible. We added two bedrooms and a bathroom in the basement and re-poured the entire basement floor. Such a wonderful finished product and we would definitely recommend them to anyone.
