Reviews
Write a ReviewWorking with this company has been a nightmare! It started with the salesman who walked through the project with my brother and I and indicated that his staff could handle the work that we needed to have done. He indicated that it would be a 2-3 day job. Part of the Scope of Work was to remove wallpaper in the kitchen and the small bathroom. I specifically said that I had no idea what the walls were like behind the wallpaper. He assured me that the crew could handle whatever it was. He gave us all of the details including the cost. We were in agreement with that dollar amount. Once work began, the job lead was here off and on throughout the job. The 2 gals who were doing the painting were new to the task and left relatively unsupervised. They had semigloss paint sporadically on the same walls as matte paint and had semigloss paint sporadically used on the ceilings that were supposed to be done with flat paint. Halfway through tearing out an existing fireplace wall and fireplace, we were informed that the crew was not equipped to actually take out the fireplace itself or do what was needed to seal the roof. These were specifically requested at the time of the initial contact with the salesman. His response at that time was "Yes, my crew can do that." So work had to stop on that room and my brother had to purchase the tools needed to finish that part of the job. My brother also had to remove the fireplace and figure out a way to close the hole in the roof until a roofer could be procurred. We were then asked by the crew where our dumpster was. We had been of the understanding that the dumpster was to be provided by the company and had been figured into the original bid that we were given. Finally on day 12 with SO much work left to do and the realization that this crew did not have the skill set needed to properly do the job, I told them to stop work. There was a thorough walk through with the crew, the salesman and the company owner. I indicated all areas of concern and said that this crew was not up to the job as promised by the salesman. Neither the salesman or the owner offered any apology or explanation. Everyone left. A few days later we received a Change Order which we mistakenly took as an offer to reduce the original quoted amount. We thought the matter was settled. It was far from settled. What the Change Order did was to add ADDITIONAL charges to the original quote! The Change Order was not in any way reflective of any changes that WE made to the original Scope of Work. They were changes the COMPANY had to make in order to be compliant with the original bid. Like the cost of the dumpster and the cost of purchasing the CORRECT paint when the incorrect paint was delivered. In the end, we were being billed for over $15,000.00! We had already paid over $6,500.00. There were a few phone conversations between my brother and the company owner to try to resolve the issues. Long story short, within 60 days my account was turned over to collection without any willingness to compromise from the company. We remain in dispute with this company. Fortunately, we have pictures to document the issues. Quite honestly, I could have done this type of work myself for free! We did not hire "professionals" to do this job only to have the work in large part done by apprentices. Would the owner of this company be satisfied if this work was done in his house? Since then, we had to hire another painter to come and fix both the damages done and the work not able to be completed by this company. I am beyond frustrated! Please, please, please be aware of this if you are contemplating hiring them!

They all were great starting with the manager Eddie who came out and gave a estimate he was very polite and professional. Then the painters Josh and Clayton were great and went above and beyond what they had to do.
