Not only does he know his stuff-- but he personally supervises all the work. He worked with me on selecting trees and bushes and ground coverings, then planted them (supervised his team), and has also been helping care for all the plants -- especially during this past hot summer. His prices are reasonable- his work superb! I can't recommend him more! He's fabulous!"

"Blankson did so much more than regular lawn mowing - they cleared out poison ivy and over a truck full of weeds and debris from our property. Installed a gorgeous field stone retaining wall, installed 4 french drains to hide our ugly downspouts, pressure washed our cedar patio enclosure and mailbox stand, trimmed and removed trees, installed and tamped down more sand in our brink walkways, cleaned the gutters, installed a ton of mulch (very nice quality), and generally made our yard look AMAZING! They really can do it all. Their work was so impressive that people in the neighborhood were stopping by to look and talk about it. The owner, Solomon Blankson, is very professional and knowledgeable. His crew is friendly and professional as well. They worked hard every day - sometimes until 8pm. I recommend them very highly."

"My back patio was an absolute mess. Overgrown weeds, old lawn furniture, old fire pit, two gas grills. Plus it needed a good pressure wash. I contacted four companies over the last three weeks. All failed miserably in their responsiveness and only one gave me an estimate which was way out of bounds. Then I found JZL via random search on the Internet. On a Saturday evening, I filled out a contact request on their website. 8:30AM Sunday morning I had an email response from Miriam. By noon I was scheduling an estimate with Emily. On Monday morning one of their folks stopped by while I was at work and provided an estimate for HALF the price of the previous quote. Tuesday morning the job was complete. I'd say my patio looked as good as the day I bought my house 19 years ago but that would be short-selling the job that was done. In fact, it looked MUCH better. "To clarify: The project was not only a lawn, but an entire front yard make-over with adding shrubbery and flower beds as well. Working with Omar is a true pleasure! He has a keen eye for what works in a particular landscape setting. He is gentle about making suggestions and recommendations based on your personal desire of involvement in planning and maintaining the completed project. He is also cautious to point out any underestimation on your part in terms of how much maintenance and time is required. I soooo appreciated that!!! Being a stubborn DIYer, I learned to regret my impatience with some plantings. Let him do it! He is the expert, he knows his stuff extremely well. He was incredibly kind, gentle and generous with me and repaired my mistakes without complaints. He uses environmentally safe weed and disease control substances and fertilizers, something I greatly appreciate, given that I have terrible allergies to chemicals. He managed to create a picture book lawn in an area next to shrubbery and under trees that refused to take any grass for over a decade. He appears at the right time to do all the maintenance chores without you having to call him. He checks on the plantings (don't ask me when, and I'm home a lot) and treats them so they look perfect at all times. Often I don't find out all the time and efforts he's spent on keeping everything looking tip-top until weeks afterwards. AWESOME!!! He not only sticks with the job until it's done, he comes by on his own time to check that everything is working out perfectly! Encouraged by the success I am about to embark on an even larger yard make-over project with him. He made sure that I understand every aspect of it, also the installation process, which is much more involved than I imagined, but I'm so thankful he wants 'to do it right!' He's honest, generous and very personable to work with. Thanks be to God! His type is rare these days!"
