"I would recommend Conde Tech Services to anyone in need of HVAC service, installation, and/or repair. We had an issue with our condenser tripping its fuse when running for more than a few minutes. Another HVAC company hired by our home warranty company claimed the repair would require either replacing a part, which would take weeks to deliver and install, or replacing the condenser itself, which could be accomplished faster, but would be very costly. Matthew from Conde Tech saved us weeks of aggregation or thousands of dollars when, during his inspection, he found the previous tech had misdiagnosed the issue. The fuse, not the condenser, was the problem. Matthew fixed the fuse and serviced the condenser for half the price that the previous HVAC tech quoted us for repairing the incorrect issue with the condenser (which not only wouldn’t have solved the problem, but, worse, would have left us with a continuing fire hazard). My wife and I are not only extremely satisfied with Conde Tech, we are grateful to Matthew personally for resolving an issue that put our house and safety at risk. We will be using Conde for all of our HVAC needs moving forward."

Electrical Panel Upgrade, Fixed Generator - Install, EV Installs
"I searched Home Advisor late Saturday night looking for a plumber, not expecting to hear back until Monday. I received a phone call within minutes from Johno, apologizing for the lateness of the hour, but acknowledging that when you have a plumbing problem, you may need immediate assistance. I appreciated his call and mannerly way of speaking to me very much. We arranged for him to come by and assess our problems the next afternoon. There were several: a leak under the kitchen sink, leaking pipes in the basement, and a leaking shower diverter. After discussion of several options, along with pricing, we decided to replace all relevant pipes, and have Johno repair the other leaks. They arrived the next day, on time, giving me a call before arriving to let me know they were on their way, and they came prepared with all necessary equipment. Johno's team, himself and Alex, were both very polite, very professional, and knowledgeable about how best to fix our problems. They finished the job within 3 hours, and we were very grateful, as we had previously hired a contractor who promised big and way under-delivered--still had the same problems as before after two days of working to fix all. There was also a kitchen pull-down faucet that had sprung a leak. He gave me estimates on replacing it with a much better unit, and also offered to find the part we needed to fix the existing one. He took a picture of it, looked it up in the catalog, and texted me all the pertinent information -- part number, warranty, etc., and offered to install it for a small charge. I ordered the part, it came within two days, and the next day he came back to install it. I am very impressed with this young man's work ethic, his willingness to find alternatives that may be less expensive, give his best professional advice, arrive on time, complete the job sooner than expected, come back for a small job again immediately, and most importantly, do a first rate plumbing job. We have found a reliable plumber that we will certainly call on again as needed. He's a Keeper!"

Panel or Wiring Upgrade, Attic or Whole House Fan Install, Electric for Additions or Remodels , and 1 more
"I am giving the highest recommendation possible to both Beacon Electrical Services and specifically to Dan McHale, who initially provided and installed an attic fan in our detached garage and then on a second job he dug/trenched/provided/installed a Cat6e line and conduit from the house to a detached building in the back yard. His work was pure perfection on both projects. Dan went the extra mile to "fix" a wire connection in the garage of which I was unaware was unsafe; and he maintained a kind disposition in the sweltering heat as he hand-dug a trench for 120 feet of line for future internet installation. Beacon Electrical's response to all of my inquiries was thorough and prompt; and Dan was very knowledgeable of the Fios/internet protocols. Each suggestion that Dan made improved upon my initial vision for how and where to place the line, conduit, and phone jack. Dan, again, went the extra mile by going into the house and into the crawl space to prepare the work that Verizon would not permit its employees to do during the Covid pandemic. Even after the job was done, on his day off from work, when Verizon arrived to hook up Fios and had questions, Dan was willing to intercede for me with the Verizon tech by further explaining to them what had been done so as to expedite Verizon's installation. Dan was respectful to me and to my elderly parents throughout each encounter. In the midst of the Covid pandemic, Beacon Electrical took every precaution to protect the customer from the very first greeting to the final signing off on the job. As my 90-year-old father wanted to constantly "be near the action," Dan made sure that my father didn't get within six feet (or more) when he wasn't wearing his face mask. Dan's kindness, professionalism, and pride in workmanship is undeniable. My experience with Beacon has been a blessing, and they will remain my electrical company of choice! If first impressions matter, Beacon Electric excelled ... from the clean and shiny company vehicle to the appearance of their representatives. Also, lastly, though not of any lesser impression, is the office personnel. Having prompt, courteous return calls is such a luxury these days. Congrats to the owners and managers. You have much of which to be proud. (A new forever client)"

Electrical Switches, Outlets & Fixtures - Install or Repair, Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade, Electrical for Home Addition or Remodel - Install
"This review is a long time in coming. I had been searching for an affordable electrician to replace a breaker panel that was on its last legs. I called an electrician from a highly rated company to diagnose and perform some emergency repairs. Seems our panel was on borrowed time. Several breakers were burned, cracked and yet another was buzzing in an unpleasant manner. The offending breakers were replaced and the verdict was that the main bus bars were just not providing good electrical contact. I needed a replacement panel. I got an estimate from another person in that company. A lot of discussion took place between the estimator and his company. Photos of the location and service were taken and e-mailed. I was floored by the magnitude of the estimate and the associated re-work that needed to be done to replace the panel and bring it up to code. Everything from an outside service meter mounted above the deck to the water pipes that passed the panel were all offending and needed to be relocated. We were assured that no inspector would sign off on a replacement panel without these accompanying modifications to the house. We followed with a few more word of mouth recommendations and finally reached an impasse when we found someone who would do it on the cheap if we purchased all the supplies. He was honest enough to admit that he was not a licensed electrician. I had used HomeAdvisor in the past and felt it was time to stop Yelping and get someone in who had been screened - qualified, licensed, insured, etc. HomeAdvisor gave us 3 leads. Chris Livingstone (we later connected that sense of humor with the Dead Rock Contracting name) and his helper, Mike quickly responded to our job description request. From the start, Chris listened to our description of the failure mode, what work had been done already, and our concerns about wanting to have this job done with the appropriate permits and final inspection. He was knowledgeable and had a background that enabled him to make informed decisions on what was required and what was fine if the job was a swap out panel replacement. He thoroughly checked our electric service meter, panel, and water lines. He gave us an estimate with our choice of two top name brand panels. When he said the whole house surge suppressor was included, not an option, I was completely surprised. That suppressor was a $350 option on our first quote. We asked for the panel brand, suppressor and building permit and inspection to be included on the contract. He seemed a tad amused and put it in writing. We were really impressed. So, we started with our wish list. We wanted to replace our dead front post lamp. No problem, do you want to save some labor cost and dig the 18" trench ourselves (yes, and he would run the wires inside of conduit). We have a dead roof mounted ventilator. Can you replace that too? "Sure, do you want to pick out your own fan or should I?" Wow, flat rate install prices as options. We loved it. A week lat"

From Tammy and Kat in the front office, to Ruben and Soriano who did the install, everything was handled professionally and with care, and keeping me informed every step of the way. Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesLovettsville Electricians are rated 4.9 out of 5 based on 2133 reviews of 2133 pros.
