"I recently bought an EOG townhouse, which desperately needed its gutters cleaned. It turned out that one of the contractors suggested by Home Advisor, Leaf Filter, isn't in the gutter cleaning business per se, but rather is mainly a gutter filter installer. Leaf Filter contacted me right away, and explained their service, installing leaf/debris filtration systems. This was something I'd intended to have done later, but with all the trees surrounding my home I decided to just get it done now. I'm glad I did. The sales rep Tip came by, working around my schedule for work, and was even a bit early. He had loads of info, a good demo model to show exactly how everything worked, and managed to make his presentation in about an hour. Costs, available financing, the exact work being done, were all covered thoroughly and quickly. I also appreciated his ability to price out the job and deal on the spot without having to refer to any higher-ups first. But be aware, Leaf Filter prices their jobs to each individual project, NOT by the hour or linear foot, and this IS a premium service. The price is all inclusive, and for the front and rear of my 18' wide home, the final bill came to $1,040, equivalent to $28.89 per linear foot. I considered a few details as important when I made my decision to install. This filter system was rated very highly by Bottom Line and Consumer Reports, both of which I've subscribed to and consider excellent references. It's also covered by a lifetime, transferable warranty, plus a manufacturer’s money back, no clog guarantee. Insurance deductibles up to $1,000 for any damage resulting from clogged gutters are refunded. There are other details I considered pluses, but the last major selling point for me was a 100% success rate history vs clogs. The one man crew was out the next day after doing the paperwork, and he was almost done by the time I got home from work. Service includes: complete gutter and downspout cleaning, any repairs and replacement parts as needed, sealing all joints with 50 year silicone, gutter alignment, hidden bracket reinforcing, and the filter system itself. The finished project looked great, and the yard was left clean and without any gutter debris. About a week later, another technician was out to double check on the work, take photos, and check on whether I was happy with the project. I'm extremely satisfied with both Leaf Filter's personnel and product. It's worked very well in the short time I've had it, and incidentally also solved another problem I was having with puddles in the basement after heavy rains. I would not hesitate to recommend Leaf Filter to anyone looking for this type of service. Pricey, but well worth it."
